However as the saying goes, there are riders that have been down, and the ones that will go down. Haiden rides on the edge like a cross between Carmichael and Stewart. I would bet he will always be in the hunt for the front next season. He got a hard lesson about learning patience in his futures race. He has a strong foundation and a great family and team backing him and they seem to help him stay grounded. The future looks bright for the new Deegan 38 ready to line up for his sophomore season. Have no doubt he will keep grinding.

Ryan rode the edge most every second like a cowboy hanging on for the last three or four seconds riding the baddest bull in the corral at the rodeo. Haiden sends it on the edge like ken block did driving rally cars.
I am always amazed at Haiden's ability to practically sense an endo and tuck and roll out of it . That instinct can help prevent serious injuries when a crash does occur and they usually do sooner or later! Definitely some athletic ability there!
He looks a lot more comfortable in the whoops. He is blitzing them like he’s been doing it for years. I really hope they decide to race on the West Coast this upcoming season. I think its because of the way he has trained in the past,and the variation,BMX ,scooter , skiing,wake boarding ,jumping of bridges and cliffs In to the water ,all those things have taught him how to get out of potentially bad situations.

@Brrrap743 100%! Haiden grew up on a trampoline, skateboarding, and cliff jumping. He's comfortable getting launched, he doesn't panic, and he knows how to roll with it. Super important skill to have as a pro SX and MX racer. All racers have great balance, but that doesn't always equate to knowing how to fall👍👊
That career number looks sweeet! It truly reflects the level you've obtained and how far you've come!! I'd recommend gradual progression on the whoops. Especially with a new bike. Not rushing your progress is how you were able to accomplish so much your rookie season. Set your goals for whoop speed and technique, give it time and put in the time. See if you can just learn to love them more instead of just getting them checked off your list. The more you like them, the better you'll naturally get.
