Its not sexual between Jinx and Silco, Jinx is just clingy because of her childlike mentality. I never got that vibe, not sure how other people saw it that way.

I know it's probably been clarified but Vi was turning herself in and was the one that sent the message to Grayson. She knew of the canister from Ekko, since he heard their whole conversation and it was only a matter of her finding it. As far as the time jump, I think it's closer to 5 or 6 years and not a decade. The show is phenomenal.
I've watched Simone go on dozens and dozens of emotional roller coasters on this channel, but I don't remember *anything* getting so far under her skin that she cussed that much lol Arcane is definitely something special. Thanks for sharing this with us non-Patreon pleb subscribers over here. :)
I mean, Season 1 & Season 2 was written at the same time as one larger story. It just cut off where Season 1 stopped. Season 1 was consistent all the way through, and I'd expect that to continue.

A Netflix series based on a video game has no business being this goddamn sensational, and I have literally no negative critiques whatsoever, everything from the characters to the animation to the music and the choice of songs even the way they handled mental illness was so elegantly done and you get to understand from everyone’s perspective because they’re all grey characters. It is just a sensational series .
Serious question. Why do reactors never catch that the air is toxic? Why do they think the Enforcers breathing masks are for show? This isn't hard to figure out, so how come so many don't?
Silco was gonna unalive powder but when she mentioned being abandoned he decided against it. You can hear the knife clatter when ahe tackled him. But also love how arcane showed jinx's panic/anciety attack. There was a trigger, a response, and then the come down from it. Also jinx and silcos relationship is one of the best in the show.
It is twisted and very perverse in how they both are codependant of their traumas and borderline sociopathy. BUT by the end Silco's paretnla love and admiration of Jinx's is the most genuine thing in this whole show SPOILER Thats why to him, she was perfect and din't need to change, while Vi wanted her "old sister" back "like old times", but the mention of old times for Powder triggers her trauma and guilt and it hurts her.

I saw a father figure and a daughter figure and that's it. someone who never had a kid raising that kid and trying to build a nation who trusts their kid and believes in them, vs someone who had a dad lost their dad, and found a new one who's rebellious/dangerous and has deep seeded trauma

While she does carry some responsibility for her actions after the time skip, she's a mentally stunted traumatized child with severe mental illness and codependency that was groomed by a master manipulator and emotionally abusive sociopath. She never had a chance. Powder and Vi are both Silco's victims throughout the entire show.

She couldn't foresee the consequences yes, BUT she saw what it did to the place where they found them. The burglar is at fault for breaking into your home, but you're at fault for throwing the grenade. Taking accountability, and forcing others to take accountability, is one of the most important virtues in the world. Don't muddy the waters. We're all responsible for how we react to the world around us, no matter the circumstances.

Also, for the record Jinx had the pink and blue color combination way before Harley and kept it way longer as well although she was originally intended to have a more Emo/Goth punk girl aesthetic like she does on "Arcane" and be a lot more violent as well but due to 2000s game censors she was made more of a prankster with the murder and terrorism only vaguely implied in her voicelines.
THis was one of the best surprises i ever had with a Modern show Well written character Meaningfull arcs and stakes Exploring deep and dark themes and handling it VERY well No pandering. An interesting Setting Masterfull animation and Artstyle. This show is an ABSOLUTE GEM,and thats coming from someone who knows very little about LoL lore and never played the game

This is one of the MANY shows that Netflix has the distribution rights for that I WISH they'd release for DVD/Blu-ray/4K...but they never will. Hording properties is what they do. Then one day when it gets removed from the platform (because on a lone enough time line, it will happen to everything), it will just be lost to memory I suppose.

It pisses me off when people kneejerk associate Jinx with Harley when they don`t even have the same mental illness, Harley is histrionic and dependent, Jinx is borderline, schizoaffective(Harley only pretends to be for attention), paranoid and has severe insecure attachment issues, Harley did have insecure attachment issues at first with Joker but later got over them through her relationship with Ivy! Also Jinx is a lot more nihilistic than Harley is much like Joker and similarly gets easily bored when things are not blowing up or otherwise making loud noises around her.
36:23 I want to argue for Caitlyn’s mum. Consider that she was Jayce’s patron and had supported him financially for a long time. He then blew up his entire building. If you keep illegal explosives in your home that can blow up your multi-tenant block just by dropping one, then it is ABSOLUTELY your fault if it explodes, even if due to a burglary. That’s one of the reasons why it is illegal. In any modern society he would have gone to jail (rightly). Imagine coming home and finding out that your home is blown up, because your neighbor was experimenting with explosives. Yet she still decided to support him at the council. It was only when he started talking about magic that she soured on him: a practice that nearly genocided an entire race and the reason the city was founded in the first place. Imagine your protege starting to post videos on TH-cam about the need to reintroduce eugenics in our society... In what world would she be expected to stand by him at this point? Paramount is a nightmare with copyright. Some channels manage to muddle through but Star Trek tends to be extremely difficult for a lot of creators, even actual reviewers.
Ambessa is not a champion in league. She's slated to become a champion in Wild Rift, but she won't be released until later this year when Arcane season 2 event happens.
At the moment it's not, but I hope Arcane doesn't become the Blade of video game adaptations. Both this show and Blade deserve so much more credit, imo.
The blame on powder is really something you have to question a lot, she is really young and inexperienced. And just like Vi, she has lost everything and was scared of losing it again hence her panic attack she had in her room. Vi leaving her there should also be seen as a major mistake, lots of other things. They would have had their parents still if Vander didn’t start a war, wheres that blame? If he didn’t try to kill Silco, wheres Vanders blame again? In the end, he knew Powder was the one who fucked everything yet he still had it in him to forgive her then and there because he knew the blame didn’t lie with the children. Joyce was the one who brought this highly explosive magic stone into Piltover, Vi was the one who had them steal shit topside. Milo made Powder feel like she was useless. And Powder is really almost a baby, I feel like she has THE LEAST amount of blame out of everyone here. And she is a personification of the mistakes of the people who came before her, she did what she was doing to survive and keep those close to her safe. And yet the failures of this society are made people like Powder/Jinx.
With Season 2 coming up, I highly recommend it! Season 1 is 9 episodes, and if you want to break it up instead of binging all at once, 3 episodes at a time is a good pace. It’s the first video game adaptation to win an Emmy (four of them!) and swept the Annie Awards (basically the Oscars for animation) with 9 wins. I can’t decide if the gorgeous art direction and animation is the best aspect, or the tight writing and voice acting is. ❤

While on this topic of my favorite movies, you two still haven't reacted to ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL. James Cameron project. Robert Rodriguez directed, to allow James Cameron to keep working on the Avatar movies he had obligated himself to continue. Actually, Simone looks a bit like Alita! I didn't even notice until I saw the thumbnail for this. :D So I hope they do that thumbnail up good whenever you guys do eventually see Alita Battle Angel. And you'd better not make George be Alita or I'ma gonna be super-pissed. Make George Grewishka or something :D You'll see who Grewishka is. Maybe he could be the little **spoiler*. The first season is nearly perfect. I’m both extremely excited and scared that the second season will not be as good.

I never played LOL before watching this and I absolutely loved Arcane. Fantastic animation and voice acting, especially Ella Purnell.
And a surprising performance from Hailee Steinfeld. She did an excellent job.

This is one of the MANY shows that Netflix has the distribution rights for that I WISH they'd release for DVD/Blu-ray/4K...but they never will. Hording properties is what they do. Then one day when it gets removed from the platform (because on a lone enough time line, it will happen to everything), it will just be lost to memory I suppose.
The official source for Arcane has pre orders for 4K UHD and regular Blu ray physical copies for season 1 available. I already pre ordered mine (:

I don't know if there's a separate site that may be offering it cheaper, but DAMN if is it isn't expensive! $50 for the special edition, even if it does come with a few bits and bobs, is pretty steep. I'd love to own that one, but I don't think I can justify that price tag for a single season.

It pisses me off when people kneejerk associate Jinx with Harley when they don`t even have the same mental illness, Harley is histrionic and dependent, Jinx is borderline, schizoaffective(Harley only pretends to be for attention), paranoid and has severe insecure attachment issues, Harley did have insecure attachment issues at first with Joker but later got over them through her relationship with Ivy! Also Jinx is a lot more nihilistic than Harley is much like Joker and similarly gets easily bored when things are not blowing up or otherwise making loud noises around her.
Y'all should do Blue Eyed Samurai as well. Tier 1 artwork, and story-telling.

If you keep illegal explosives in your home that can blow up your multi-tenant block just by dropping one, then it is ABSOLUTELY your fault if it explodes, even if due to a burglary. That’s one of the reasons why it is illegal. In any modern society he would have gone to jail (rightly). Imagine coming home and finding out that your home is blown up, because your neighbor was experimenting with explosives. Yet she still decided to support him at the council. It was only when he started talking about magic that she soured on him: a practice that nearly genocided an entire race and the reason the city was founded in the first place. Imagine your protege starting to post videos on TH-cam about the need to reintroduce eugenics in our society... In what world would she be expected to stand by him at this point? Big “Caitlyn’s mum” fan here 😅

Paramount is a nightmare with copyright. Some channels manage to muddle through but Star Trek tends to be extremely difficult for a lot of creators, even actual reviewers.

Maybe I'm late to the game, but, how far apart are you guys, normally? How did you get connected to start the channel (and/or before that)?
The blame on powder is really something you have to question a lot, she is really young and inexperienced. And just like Vi, she has lost everything and was scared of losing it again hence her panic attack she had in her room.
Vi leaving her there should also be seen as a major mistake, lots of other things. They would have had their parents still if Vander didn’t start a war, wheres that blame? If he didn’t try to kill Silco, wheres Vanders blame again? In the end, he knew Powder was the one who fucked everything yet he still had it in him to forgive her then and there because he knew the blame didn’t lie with the children.
Joyce was the one who brought this highly explosive magic stone into Piltover, Vi was the one who had them steal shit topside. Milo made Powder feel like she was useless. And Powder is really almost a baby, I feel like she has THE LEAST amount of blame out of everyone here. And she is a personification of the mistakes of the people who came before her, she did what she was doing to survive and keep those close to her safe. And yet the failures of this society are made people like Powder/Jinx.
I’ve never seen the show, this is the sickest thumbnail you guys have ever done. It makes me want to watch the show.
With Season 2 coming up, I highly recommend it! Season 1 is 9 episodes, and if you want to break it up instead of binging all at once, 3 episodes at a time is a good pace.
It’s the first video game adaptation to win an Emmy (four of them!) and swept the Annie Awards (basically the Oscars for animation) with 9 wins. I can’t decide if the gorgeous art direction and animation is the best aspect, or the tight writing and voice acting is. ❤

Powder is an amazing empathetic character, but people's love and forgiveness for her go a little too far for me at times.

41:59 This cracked me up. :D She loves the show so much she doesn't realize she's drinking while talking. :D This is my favorite ever series and I'm nearing 50. I only mention my age because I'm pointing out that the story and characters in this series are still universally interesting even if you're from a previous generation, which certainly can't be said for some series and movies lately. And I'm usually not a big fan of animation, because usually animation isn't this good. And it's definitely one of my top 10 favorite ... fictional stories to .. video. Okay, whatever you call movies+tv shows. The line between them is getting so blurry lately with some series being as good as movies that there should be a word that combines both categories. Because if I ever were to write down my list of favorite movies in order, it would feel incomplete without Arcane somewhere near the number 1 spot.
While on this topic of my favorite movies, you two still haven't reacted to ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL. James Cameron project. Robert Rodriguez directed, to allow James Cameron to keep working on the Avatar movies he had obligated himself to continue. Actually, Simone looks a bit like Alita! I didn't even notice until I saw the thumbnail for this. :D So I hope they do that thumbnail up good whenever you guys do eventually see Alita Battle Angel. And you'd better not make George be Alita or I'ma gonna be super-pissed. Make George Grewishka or something :D You'll see who Grewishka is. Maybe he could be the little **spoiler*. Or he'd be somewhat a visual match for Clive Lee, okay, nowhere close, but of all the characters, that's the one he looks the most like. Heck, George could be Nova :D Or one of the characters who *spoiler spoiler spoiler** to see Nova.
