Growing up in Mexico it was always clear to me that KOF was a game rooted in our hearts. Its awesome to see a mexican vs mexican grand finals. Felicidades a Pako por llegar a la final en winners y a Tamago por llevarse el primer lugar!
I never knew KOF was an important game in Mexico. Where I live, there isn't too much of a KOF scene, everybody mostly plays Smash and Mortal Kombat. But there are lots of amazing Smash players from Mexico, too. Maybe Mexicans are just amazing at videogames. And congratulations to all the amazing players made it to top 8 in this tournament!

Fantastic top 8, the loyal players and the recent patch made this such a fun tournament to watch. I'm really enjoying the knowledgeable broadcasters as a new KOF fan since 15 released, and I hope SNK continues to tune the game with proper balance. Thanks Team Spooky for bringing it to us.

Two things I loved: 1. Arsalan Ash Vs Tamago .... that game gave me a heart attack. 2. That guy in the middle of the two commentators, sitting with hands crossed and glasses THE WHOLE FREAKING GAME. Awesome.
When Reynald is not even top 3, you know the level is ridiculously high. Congrats to the champion on such an amazing road, beating killer after killer. Evo is going to be insane.
He is not as good as people in USA thinks he is... the world is a big place and there are a lot of better players specially in Mexico, Korea and China.

There aren't many Mexican players that can beat him regularly, even El Rosa trades wins with him and he can also goes toe to toe with some of the best from the world. Then the platform and supporter applied limitations rules on Xiaohai, for example, he must choose female characters, or one of the characters must be a question mark, he still won every time.. A single player beat the army of them.

Arslans started with kof which is why he has good execution..Problem wasn't backdashing..It was him not knowing the matchups. Which is why he was backdashing much
But you no I have not seen a game system worthy of getting 2009 to 2022 for one the style is all fuck up in them the only really one I would take a look at is dargon ball fighter z tekken7 and may be kof 15 but not really and even those r not really special 🙄🙄🙄🙄😒😒😒🤔🤔🤔😓😓😓?????!!!!!
Such a good tournament. I really wanted Pako to win because he's such a unique characters specialist but Tamago had the stronger team and played really well. Props to both of them for repping for that mexican KoF supremacy!
@@Zerog65 I think SNK are just afraid to have Angel like 2002 vanilla again, but they already got rid of her infinites and plus on block full screen super, I don't see the problem buffing her a bit more. I feel like every season, all the underperforming characters (except Ramon probably) are gonna get small buffs at a time to multiple moves to not suddenly get someone overpowered by accident. There's so much character variety in this Combo Breaker Top 8. I have confidence that SNK knows what they're doing and we'll see Angel again soon. (RIP Kukri though.)

It's kinda funny how VRT+Gato were given slap on the wrist nerfs (and Dolores was destroyed RIP Dolores) and now everyone's back to playing their favorites...
Is a shame they are strained with budget. Asian not really supportive in competition like this. If someone provide them tickets, i think they would more than happy to join.
Some random cafe or corner store in their areas will have a classic KOF unit because Neo-Geo cabs were pretty inexpensive (and sometimes, bootlegged for even cheaper). Usually 2002. So a lot of people grew up being KOF fans.
The old neogeo cabinets were very cheap and you used to be able to play all the games from SNK with just one Neo Geo and it was also very easy to Pirate so they just started popping up all over Central America
In latam the Neo Geo cabinets were very popular. Not only cheaper, they also had the possibility to choose the language, so people could understand the story of the game. Here in Brazil everybody knew the tragic story of Orochi Iori in the late 90's, early 2000

Every time I see sticks used for input in any fast paced fighters, man, I never stop wondering why aside from learning the game exclusively on arcade machines. Each directional input has to return to center to do opposite input and that has to waste so much time vs using a split-dpad where all directions are right under your one thumb.
Huge respect to Arslan Ash for taking the W home in tekken and making it to finals in Kof Mans really came out of nowhere and became a Legend

Balance so far is great. No mirror and everyone pick variety of characters. SNK doing great job.
