Which is why the story is told in each Nana's POV about the past and what they wished they would've done differently and maybe the outcome would've been different. Hachi will always be calling for Nana and watching for her. What really makes me on the edge of my seat is wondering how NANA is going to end. You can see the foreshadowing throughout the manga and it's great! but since Aya Yazawa got sick, the manga has been on hiatus for almost 7 years! ughhhh it kills me. But back to the original question, yes Hachi and Tamuki should have not ended up together. Hachi was supposes to end up with Nobu, but because she got preg and it was tamuki who got her preggo, Hachi thought it would be appropriate to be married to the father of her child, which end up making her sad and she rarely gets to see nana and nobu and the rest of the band.
Tbh I like takumi and hatchi together, hatchi chose nobu for the reason that he was an easier choice since she thought takumi doesn't want marriage. In the end it was a misunderstanding? Idk but she likes both of them and fyi [spoilers if you didn't read the manga] takumi did it with reira (I'm spelling her name wrong) aka sex because she was like sad etc .... and he doesn't like her ...(rambling)
The artist has started drawing again. There was a NANA calendar in the January 2016 issue of Cookie (her publisher, smile.amazon.com/dp/B017RLTE7Y/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2FHSWY1WWXJ6&coliid=I33TD8LYO9EVKQ) I was hoping to order the issue but it was sold out before I could get to it. I haven't googled the artist in a few months, maybe she will restart Nana.
