Very entertaining and enjoyable interview. 3 hours went by soo quickly. D. Dot got legendary tales for days. Big up Math and his team. Greetings from the UK 🇬🇧.
In the late 90s from Life After Death to No Way Out to Harlem World to Money Power Respect, Deric 'D Dot' Angelettie was the name you saw on the back of the cover of these legendary albums as the Associate Executive Producer. The captain of the Hitmen, the madd rapper/madd producer. Legendary. Thank you for this Math!

I really enjoyed this interview. This guy is the real deal. All these years I thought he changed his voice to do the Mad rapper. That's how he really talks. I had no idea. lol
This one of the most important interviews/convos in hiphop history PERIOD... especially considering everything Goin on right now... we never get to hear how much groundwork puff REALLY put in... it'll never justify anything but dude really elevated hiphop
This is where I heavy regret being just a big fan of rap because I feel crazy not knowing homie was more than just the mad rapper sheeeeeessshhhh well I’ll never forget 💯💯💯💯💯DDOT

D-Dot definitely has bangers on the production end in his catalog. Let alone the classic Madd Rapper skits. Glad he's still working and great conversation.
this is a hustler. a lot of ignoramuses talk about, they was hungry so they had to sell drugs. this dude worked at a bookstore, a fast food joint, sold tickets, and he talks about that. you start somewhere, and that start doesnt have to be selling drugs on the corner. that shit's not cool
The Mad Rapper!!! Had mad bars for days. 1st time i ever hear Eminem was on "Stir Crazy", played that song till the tape snapped in half, put crazy glue on it and kept it on repeat.
My dad had a studio and record company throughout the 90's and was a producer. Huge difference in producer, most are the brains of the operation "The Maestro", Rick Rubin for a perfect example, gave inspiration to Johnny Cash and many others to put out amazing work. Most record companies are sharks give little percent back to the artists putting in the original work, it's the upfront money that screws many talents. Running your own successful biz ain't easy, so the majority take the easy way out.
This man ia incredibly well spoken and has an amazing perspective. Respectful when he needs to be and assertive when needed as well. Immensely talented and creates alot of my lifes soundtrack. Amazing interview. Salute DDOT
Why is gat so clueless? Asking questions that D dot already answered like he’s clueless. Math might have to take him off the show he don’t do research or pay attention
@@tenzel1231Did that really happen? I like Gat but sometimes he do get out of line. But Mecca need to stop thinking because he used to work at Source he knows more about Rap Music. You can’t win every argument and Dot got him on this one!
@@joecalhoun6476 yes at the point when d dot was talking about a double album with Rob and gat says you ever think about doing a double album with Rob.
I've worked in Caribbean Sound Basin along with a company called Audio Works back in the day Post BIG era and what D Dot is saying is fact. I saw the plaques with all the international hits made in there he speaking straight no bs. Puff Daddy is a genius to pull that collaboration off to start BIG career to the next lvl. Caribbean Sound Basin was the most modern studio at the the time it was built it was a large multilevle facility with a hotel 24/7 service and a several state of the art music studios with also a very large studio with a grand piano. The acoustics in the large studio was nothing else I've ever heard at the time. I spent a good bit of time there and can say it was truly a gem of a private facility.
This show is so good. I’ve seriously enjoyed all this interviews from the bad boy camp, or people that fucked with it. All them have always been a surprise to me. Because I’m searching all the interviews in full and then choosing and I’m all always like oh shit.😮
Thinks for all you do for hip hop D dot! My favorite memories is when you were on Making the band and yelled at the band members for gambling in the in house studio that they were taking for granted.
Great and very thought provoking interview. I wonder if the art of creative sampling was the start of the downfall of rap music. Nowadays these younger artists really don't want to work hard nor really want to put in the effort of understanding the history or art of music. Just a question...
Finially!! WHen people ask you in other interviews who is your favorite this should be in the top 3 at the least. Big shout the Madd Rapper!! Tell Mae West whats good!! 🤣🤣
