I loved the video, especially the history part of it! It nevere knew majority of it, even though i come from Poland, Czech's naighbour country and I used Koh-i-noors most of my life, up until adulthood when i sort of outgrew it and was able to buy professional art supplies. They come very cheap here, and the quality is good, but not brilliant but definitely a life saver for people on the budget. If youre a beginner art student there is 90% chance that youre using that brand, so i owe them a lot!
That’s so lovely that you have such fond memories of them and that you still appreciate them as a budget friendly art supply ♥️ I bet they are much cheaper there than they are in the UK but all told they are still affordable as pencils go ♥️
Love the nerding out on pencils!!!! So cool to learn about Koh-i-Noors! That's been my go to for almost as long as I can remember myself cos that was actually the only artist grade brand we could get in former soviet union. So from grade school all the way through art school and beyond they've been by my side but I never even thought of really googling any of this!
I am glad you liked it Kai - I too was surprised by the history of it all ❤️ I really enjoy getting all the info together as I am just a curious cat 🤣 You will be happy to know - I am in the middle of filming a DID YOU KNOW. However I will be uploading them on a Friday in place of a vlog/reveiw soon as I will have NO STUDIO at all and I may not have the time to nip out the house either ❤️ I remember you liked the DYK ❤️🥳
Love the thumbnail. I seen the red ponytail and though "Oh yes there she is". Thank you so much for the rabbit holes. It is interesting to learn about the history of our tools. I am just too lazy to read about them. Awesome job as always. Love ya. Have a great day.
I love fact finding as you never know what you’re going to get. The move has stalled due to a backlog of searches. 😭 so we are all just waiting around! It’s a bloody nightmare Cat
@@lazyredhead You'll get thru this stall and look back with laughter! Head up, you got this and more! 😄 YOU do more for folks than you know with your channel. All my best
That was so interesting, I never knew any of that! Love it when you go down the rabbit hole. I obtained (nicked) a super-old, vintage Koh-I-Noor pencil tin from my dad, but alas there were no pencils left in it. :(
I've been thinking of buying these and now I will - as a Xmas present for me! Thanks for the history lesson. Keep doing those when you have a minute. Moving sucks big time. Before you realise it, it will be over. Take care. ❤
You're vlogs have become a Friday ritual for a while now 😂. Defo enjoy your crazy moments 😂❤ but have a new interest in art..... even thou I can't draw 😂👍keep it up
Thank you Shell ❤️ I am so happy to have sparked an interest about art for you! As for "I can't draw" trust me you would be surprised for sure. if it genially is something you would like to try and do let me know and I will create a little workshop here on YT for those who "can't draw" ❤️ because I genially do believe you just have not found the way YOU draw ❤️
Great video! Loved the history lesson. I have the Arteza water soluble colored pencils and I’m not happy with how much of the original mark remains after adding water. The Koh I Noor desolved nicely.
I am delighted you commented about the Arteze today Sue - as someone else way raving about them as a water-soluble so I was thinking of getting them. But now I may just hold off unless I find them in a sale. 🤪❤️
Cracking Vlog as ever xxxxx 2 for 1 a swatcherooni and a mini did you know love it 🥰🥰🥰 Cant understand why the pencil with the map inside was the only thing hubby was interested in......🙄 Was going to say hes wierd but hes married to you and we saw the photos last week so thats a given 😂😀😂🤣😂
I love my Koh I noor pencils haven’t got them all , but was lucky enough to pick up the 24 set of their chunky pencils ,( comparable with cretacolor) in sale bargain FOR A FIVER 🥳 RESULT ! ☺️and they are lovely 👍Also have 4 of the multi colour ones and they are great for sketching 😊 think you’re doing great with ALL your videos especially with all that’s going on ❤️x

Sign off a good pencil 🤣 but at least you got the tin! I am keeping mine as you never know in some years time it could be worth something?!? ❤️

I can't wait Liz! Its consumed me and I feel a bit over it now - which does not do creativity any goos to be honest 🤣❤️
It would be hard to be difficult to be creative. Looking after a sister with early onset Alzheimer's disease has the same effect! Hang in there.
