@Daisygirl1217 hope this helps! Hope you're able to stay cool!
COOLING TIPS from Twitter for folks without A/C! Pass it on!:
"Ok friends, it’s gonna be HOT in the PNW… and everywhere. So I’m going to share a few tricks to cool down that I learned growing up broke with no AC in California. Please add more if you’ve got them, every trick is worth sharing!
      First: frozen stuff.
Bags of ice, ice pack, frozen fruit type stuff wrap in a hand towel and put under your feet while you’re sitting. Your feet are one of the most heat conductive locations on your body and it will help take down your entire body temp.
Freeze damp washcloth/hand towels/sponges and use them on your head, neck, face. I also wipe my cats down with them because the towels aren’t wet enough to bother them, but it takes up some of their body heat. Just try freezing damp stuff I guess, find what works.
      Mist+fans:
Like, any combo of them, though you can purchase a combo fan/spray bottle at target for like $14 right now. I have a plant mister next to my desk and a stand fan.
      “Fake A/C”
Basically setting up a bowls or body of cool water and blowing air across it.
I just filled a tub with like 4 inches of ice+water and put a stand fan pointing at it and it cooled the whole room significantly. I think volume is on your side with the use of a tub.
Close your windows before the sun hits them. Make as solid and reflective a barrier as you can until the outside temperature drops or at least until the sun is no longer directly hitting the window. Be carful not to make it so reflective that you could hurts one’s eyes or burn.
Lay on heat transmuting surfaces. Linoleum and hardwood probably are the most readily available to you. You can get matts that are specifically heat reducing, but those cost a little money.
Freeze CapriSuns, let them thaw to slushy, then eat them with a spoon. Trust me, just try it.
"Honduran AC": Freeze a gallon or 2 of water and set it in front of the fan. And then you have a gallon of water in case electricity goes out from all the people jacking up their AC at the same time and you can't access taps or wells. We also put Rubbermaid tubs in shower and fill and cover, so you have handy water for flushing toilets or sponge bath cool downs. Also charge up portable chargers and make sure sensitive electronics are plugged into power surge strips because brownouts waver and can do damage before knocking out power.
A couple more that have come up a lot in responses:
      -Drink Electrolytes, not just water.
      -wear a wet/damp COTTON tshirt
-Go to movie centers, shopping centers, etc. I’m thinking maybe target.
-cold mint tea? Lots of support for mint tea
-wear long loose breathable clothes in sun" [end quote]

COOLING TIPS from Twitter for folks without A/C!:

Its triple digits here every summer. Located in the literal desert of Eastern Wa, where's it's 110+ each summer, nearly 3 months.
We have the worst wild fires in the nation, with literally 2/3 of Ok County being evacuated each summer. Of course theres a fire danger.
Its humid (what?!)... Its currently less than 3% humidity. This is literally one of the dryest regions in the nation. We receive less than 1ft of precipitation a year. This segment is ridiculous...
A region without AC (the only logical claim). I've never known anyone East of the mountains that doesn't have AC. I have no idea why the Seattle believes AC is unneeded. Lived in Seattle/Bellevue for a decade, owned a million dollar home w/o AC. NO ONE on the coast has a unit and it makes zero sense to me. Its 100 deg every summer in Seattle.
