For what its worth I didn't mind the wait. Hopefully Portal learned a bit and can manage expectations better on the next one. Thanks for getting it to me.
Minis look great! I was tempted to late pledge but forgot to finalize/pay for my choices. If I remember correctly, my chief concern was I don’t paint and the minis wouldn’t look good unpainted. Except for empty space, it all looks good.
They really do. These awaken realms ones paint up pretty easy with contrast paint. You can do a DIY sundrop pretty cheap and easy also. I did that a lot for lords of Ragnarok.
Thank you for your video! That mat looks awesome!
Thanks!
I’m hoping the extra card space will accommodate all the existing expansions.
Yeah I just got my sleeves in so I’m curious what space is left over.
I'm most excited for the mat, and the book of adventures; I've had the base game (earlier printing) for a long time and my daughter and I have had a blast with it... minis will be welcome. I also sprung for the plastic tokens, but honestly I don't like how they look seeing them now - they don't feel as thematic as the rest of the set. Thanks for the unboxing... mine's on its way.
Awesome hope you get it soon!
I like play throughs too. Will you be doing one?
Yeap I’ve got a fellow that’s played it for years that wants to play it so I’ll get trained up and be back with that. I’m starting painting it this week.
From what i've seen i would not compare this deluxe edition with castles of burgundy deluxe that i have received already while still waiting for this one. Cob is looking much better deluxified than this.
That’s fair
I felt the cardboard felt a bit damp. Want to make sure i have enough silca packets
Also how did you end up organizing this?
I’m about halfway through painting it. I’ve got some sleeves on order so I haven’t explored that yet but there’s just so much room in there. If you don’t have the expansions, you could probably put the miniatures just in a safe safely into the extra space. To make room for the book of adventures or something like that if you got that extra part.
argggh that misprint on the mat😢
What’s funny is I played it three times and didn’t notice till the last update.
😂
Would you mind counting how many painted bread pieces you received? Does your box close?
Sure I’ll do that when I get home.
My All-in copy (shouldn't matter) has 5 resin bread pieces, versus the standard 6 orange-painted wooden bread pieces.

Portal games are as bad at packing their products than they are at managing a crowdfunding campaign. Jesus😮
Fulfillment on this game (according to the sealing tape on the box) was done by Green Logistics Polska (it's a little blurry in the video). For an All-In shipment, the space taken up by spacers here had (in the bottom) Mystery Tales and the Treasure Chest boxes, and on the top were card sleeves (about 21 packages) and the Sailor & Gamer box and the package for the 3 app packs of cards, plus a few smaller pack-ins.
My guess is without the Mat it would have been a different box and all the filler was to make up the space. Since I didn’t buy much more it ended up as boxes.
