@@JulioMacarena i agree with you. I think its important to be skeptical of what ppl tell you. There are always 2 sides to every story. if something (along with rabbit) seem too good to be true.... is it really?
My own opinion... i've looked at this and i'm not a fan for this. But if you are 1st round adopters i can't stop you. Join the gang of mini-disc, colecovision, and other non-used tech. But this really really seems like once THEIR servers shut down, you got a $700 brick that can't be used for anything else. (I dont have money to do spend like that). To me, this feeels like another company that is trying to get their "product" sold to a FANG company before they push it out to the public. Most of this I could do with a $20 bluetooth ear phone and my cell phone, even openai has an app that will listen to you. If you are a bit more knowledgable yourself you can roll the LLM yourself at your home to talk to with vision included. This is the Year of the Scam.... watch out and be skeptical. And above all else. Think on your own, dont let others think for you. "Trust me bro" really doesn't go as far as you think.

And just like how people don't toss their iPhone up in the air to play catch with it in a high crime area, I doubt people will wear these in a dark alley at night in sketchy places.
Most snatch and run thieves would have NO IDEA what they were seeing, assuming they would even LOOK on someone's shirt or jacket since THEY are looking for something to steal like a PHONE.

I mean it's honestly not impressive, all I see is an screenless phone connected to GPT. That's all. Every "innovation" is things we have seen before from GPT or a competitor.
Does the pin have a future as a wearable device? Sure, maybe. But I wouldn't market it as groundbreaking, it's just a sort of gadget that might be useful to extend your phone.

I'm lazy and this just seems so much easier. Just tap and say, for instance, "is it supposed to rain today?" And it says, "no rain is forecast for today." Much easier! This is the lazy man's dream. It's SO convenient. People who think this company will fail underestimate how many of us lazy people there are in America. Lazy people unite!

I love that thing about nutritions, but I did that for years now and the data is often not on the Internet, at least not in the country I live in. The idea is great and I'd love that because it would help me so much but I just guess that it won't work that well at the moment as it doesn't work that accurate manually. But if that would work... but the weight changes so much in different products as well as who made the food. But that is just me, someone who wants just the average datas, that might be enough, but I learned that they might differ extremely... so... well...
EDIT: The person who criticized them "gave me the ick". If someone criticizes something it should be more than "It is just like my phone"... yeah, well... I have to say, I like what they show, I wouldn't buy it, but use it if someone would gift it to me. I wouldn't buy any of those agents because I simply don't need something like that right now. But those people just wanting to say something bad about something or someone... it is just so annoying, it always feels as if they just want to be mean. Just my opinion, feels to me like that. It is like the "non artists" complaining about artists losing their jobs ... "THEY STEAL MY JOB"... first they should get a job 🤣 Sorry, just a stupid joke. Just be kind to each other, honestly. What is the point in making more fuss? If you don't like a product, don't buy it. I despise apple and I don't buy anything of them, simple as that. Please, don't misunderstand, if you criticize then please "constructive criticism" because with that you might be able to change something.

Maybe I should start an AI pin collection like I used to do with ski resort pins back in the day. I could have like 30 AI pins littered throughout my body and an Apple watch on my wrist and a fitness monitor attached to my forehead, then carry my phone in one pocket and a Garmin in the other, ohhh, and a tablet in my car and a weather monitoring station on my head, as well, so I am prepared for anything! I was impressed by the original TED talk but their media tour interviews have been a disaster. I don’t think they have a viable product. The Rabbit R1 device seems more practical and better and it’s only 200 bucks. Also, Apple’s mobile devices are going to have a huge AI update this year. Best of luck to them tho!

The gadget seems totally useless to me. Btw just imagine how in the already noisy crowd several people activate this thing, it would be a sound mess. Also, why not to do this with smart glasses which would answer right to you ear and take photos/videos from the eye-level perspective?

I don't see any advantages over siri or Google assistant (especially Gemini) you already have in your phone. Everyone carries their phones with themselves anyways. This AI is incredibly slow if it's letting her speak so much before answering her questions

It might be using the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s which has a NPU for AI speed boosting. Lots of tech in a tiny package. $24/mth subscription, sorry, I will wait for a cheaper open source solution that will use my local LLMs. But for me the shocking and stunning feature is the Cyan laser projector. I did not know those were available.

I am wondering if we really need another device to carry around. So why buy this instead of a phone. As I am already carrying a phone and that maybe even with a watch interface, it seems that this nice may not live long, brilliant as it is. Phones will have more power and apps and app development will definitely take over. A more intelligent Siri/Google would do all this? Or am I confused.

Revelation 13: 14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
[15] And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
[16] And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
[17] And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
[18] Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
