I also enjoy history. I do ancestry, I enjoy researching and interviewing older people and finding out how they lived and what they did. I find that many older individuals love to share their information to anyone willing to listen, including myself. Thanks for sharing your viewpoints on detecting and reasons for making videos for youtube.
He uses to do yearly wrap up showing the years finds. He's also done videos on certain types of his finds. Point is he's got lots of videos of his collections. Hope this helps
Chigg I had a son that was so interested in the Civil war he knew so much about the history of the USA it was amazing. Unfortunately we lost him to muscular dystrophy at the age of 16. When I watch your videos it always makes feel good inside and brings back so many memories of us talking about the US history. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
From a stranger to a stranger, no one is ever truly gone if stories are still being told about them. someone can live forever if the stories are good enough.
Jerry, my condolences on the loss of your son. I'm glad you have many good memories of your times spent together, especially discussing U.S. history. "Those we remember never die." Have you ever thought of talking to a middle school or high school class about U.S. history, particularly the Civil War period? That way, you could pass on to the students your interest, and that of your son's, on the subject. During these pandemic times, I'm thinking you may not be able to go to a classroom in person, but attending by live streaming phone call (Zoom, Skype or whatever) would be next best thing and convenient, too. Just a thought. Best wishes from Northern California.
The best quality about the Aquachigger is he is his passion for his hobby. He tells history from his own research and the artifacts he finds. Along with being a gentleman he comes across as an open, natural and honest. He is kind to the point of being reverent about the wildlife he encounters. His edutainment always interacts with nature in a positive way. If a television interest is reading this, I will watch the Aquachigger and be a member of Chigg’s Army until I can get a signal no more. Please, look no further.
Around the middle of 2019, I began watching metal detecting youtubers. As you know, once you watch a particular subject you are bombarded with choices. After viewing many different videos, I found myself coming back to yours. Your videos were not only entertaining but very informative. They instilled an interest to take metal detecting up as a hobby. For Christmas I received a Garrett AT pro. Watching your videos, I learned as much about my detector as I learn from reading the instruction manual. So, the purpose of this comment is to thank you for your channel and help in making this a most enjoyable past time. I am never disappointed with your video content and look forward to you posting new ones.
Everyone enjoys your videos Chig, all ages you've got the knack, motivation & love for it... Been enjoying your videos way back when you only had a few thousand subs.. and i'll always be here until one of us are history ourselves.
I've been living vicariously through your explorations/metal detecting videos. Other than finding a new cave to explore, I don't think I've seen you so animated, from your hand movements to the light in your eyes. You are probably a walking history book. And as always, thank you!
Neither did I and there is also a quarry In Oconto, Wisconsin which is only about 3 hours from me. And a State park too. Never heard of the Copper Culture until now.
As a adult the one of the main things that attracts me to your videos is that you don't only show us what you find you also educate us as much as you can , Thank you for that.
Beau - A great job! I am a U.S. & West Virginia history teacher here in the Mid-Ohio Valley & I can relate 100 percent to what you are saying! I was a Civil War mounted cavalry reenactor from 1987-2013 and have been metal detecting on and off for over 30 years. I am also a member of the 35th State Relic Hunters. I cannot commend you enough on the unselfish & caring attitude about preserving & sharing history with others and especially with young people. I have used several of your TH-cam hunts during my classroom activities & the students love them! Some students have even gone out and bought detectors and are hunting relics now! Chigg, don't sell yourself short on any of the things that you do for the hobby & for others. You are a person who truly makes a difference in people's lives as well as in this world! Take care and may God continue to bless you greatly! Happy Hunting my friend!
Thank you.....will be watching the History Channel for your debut! I also loved that video where you were in the creek finding all those coins - in fact - I am going to watch it again in a minute. Thanks for sharing a little bit about yourself....I always admire a man who earned it as you did. And thank you also for you and your wife's caring and kindness to animals.
Getting kids interested in History! I love this and can't get my 18 and 8 year old very interested in it. I put my Metal Detecting on hold for the past few years and have to live vicariously through your videos. Fellow Shenandoah Valley inhabitant - keep the passion for the new generations- thanks Chigg
I LOVE listening to you share your passion for history and metal detecting. It really touched me to hear that you make these videos to educate and inspire younger people.
It's their loss if you are not the first choice. Your knowledge is so wide ranged. History, people, flora, fauna, animals, rocks, water. You name it you know about so many wonderful things. You've earned the notoriety and deserve the best. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
You would be great on a history show! The videos are for kids? I am 67 and learning stuff 😊 That was fascinating Beau, I hope there is a part 2 and truly hope you get the gig.
I absolutely love every aspect of hunting for historical artifacts. Researching where to hunt then the actual hunt and then researching the history of the items you find.
Chigg you are the best there ever is and ever will be. I’m glad you shared about your life story and how you rose to the top doing what you love. Let’s hope they see ya hat they could have in you.
I don't usually comment on videos but you should know that I have been watching your channel for years and I love to learn everything that you teach us. From artifacts and coins to paw paws and meeting all the different people you interact with, I owe you a great big thank you, Chigg!
I’ve been watching you for years and learned more about you personally in twenty minutes than hours and hours of watching your videos. Thank you for sharing brother.
I hope they do the show.i really like your videos I bought my first detector because of you. I'm 62 and have learned alot from you. Good luck your videos are wonderful
I started watching your videos years ago and you were one of the reasons why I got into metal detecting. I was a teenager at the time (I’m 26 now) and absolutely love the hobby and still love every one of your videos. I find myself asking “what would Aquachigger do” when I’m out hunting around. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Best of luck to you Beau. You have a gift of gab, you draw people in and submerse them(not holding their breath) in to history, education, humour, nature, etc. Passing along your knowledge to the masses beyond You tube would be huge and hopefully get platoons added to Chiggs Army. I wish you well in this endeavor 👍✌
I love how you opened this video. My boy loves your energy we watch you all the time he loves metal detecting. Our yard is all but silent now. Lol. Thanks for all the great videos.
They would be crazy not to select you Beau. I have been fascinated with your videos for a few years. You got me excited enough to start metal detecting. Thank you very much!!
With your videos oh, it's easier for me to show my grandchildren and great-grandchildren the things in use during my childhood and as I grew up into a young adult! Brings back memories of all those things I held in my hand at one time or another, the coins that were commonplace in my childhood and early teens. And the everyday items. When we first moved to my grandparents home in the country in Arkansas, wood and coal stoves for all throughout the house. My grandmother cooked on a wood stove I remember cutting kindling. The Wash Tub getting water from a well and making homemade lye soap. Mason and ball jars for all the canning my granny did
I was looking at the ground from a little girl. Finding objects and questioning them. Family was fishing- I was exploring. I have a detector and taught my grandkids to use it. They have to be inquisitive with me. I learned so much from you.
I don’t metal detect, but your knowledge, enthusiasm, passion with the heart of a teacher for the subject and items you find has enticed me to watch all your videos over the last year and a half.... I don’t like the caves you go into, but I love your videos... I feel like I have learned so much about metal detecting, ax heads, homesteads, fire place ruble piles and sink holes to start several new hobbies... Thank you so much for what you do... You deserve every bit of your fascinating life!
Yes! Teach history for sure. Kids need it more now than ever. Maybe adults too. And being in WV is good for all of us. Been watching you for a long time. Good luck!
You brought up the significance of how personal a pocket knife is, reminded me of a old fame I was doing some metal detecting on. The old woman gave me permission, and ask me to show her what I find. Of the thing I found was a old closed pocket knife. When she saw the knife she almost cried. She remembered the knife from being a young girl and it belonging to her grandfather. She remembered him losing it and hunting for weeks for it. Long after he lost it, he bring it up from time to time. Really made her day.
im a teenager and ive been watching your videos years now and youve always inspired me to look around while im outside “take off the blinders” as you would say and i really love learning about history and the little things like you said of how this tree got here or how the place im standing in would have looked like 5 hundred years ago and i just wanted to say thank you for producing all of your amazing videos that teach and inspire people like me with your cool finds.
Chigg I spend all day outdoors as a Certified Arborist inspecting trees and shrubs and lawn for people... at the end of the day, i want NOTHING to do with the outdoors.... but I love your videos. I get to live vicariously through your adventures, so when I'm exhausted at the end of the day and all I want to do is sit in a big fluffy chair in the AC and just hang out watching the youtube, you're still my favorite adventurer to spend time with. I always share you on my facebook, I want the legend of the Chigg to grow!
Brilliant your enthusiasm is catching Chigg, I love the way you make the inconsequential into the profound. I never stop delving into history no matter that I’m starting to feel a bit like an artefact too!
Best of luck. You are proven to be a success already in your educating the masses. A deal that still allows you to run your YT channel is by far the best.
Good luck with this opportunity, anything you host or a part of will be great. Your passion for the stuff we do is what makes your channel one of my favorites. 👍😎👍🍀
Great service you give back I’ve learned a lot from watching your videos and your absolutely right about teaching the younger generation . Thanks for your videos
Just watched this for the first time. This was a wonderful video, it's great to understand your passion and in many ways I feel much like you do about history in general. Many years ago (I'm 78) I spent every free monment I had searching for native American art artifacts in Texas. I can go on and on about those days. However, it lead me into want to know more about the history of Texas and more about my family tree . I share your passion for history is the bottom line. Thank you so much for all of your videos. I have been following you for several years.
I don't wanna grow up, I'm an Aquachig kid, I know I'm 56, but I like when he digs, Whenever he shows up with another vid, I learn so much from Aqua chig. Good luck, Brotha. You're one of the reasons I rehashed my metal detecting hobby. Haven't detected since I was a young lad on a farm in Michigan... That's how influential you are.
Hands down your my favorite utube, detectorist,. The most original coolest... If the show goes, stay yourself, don't let producers make it for TV..... Your sort of like old Mr Green jeans from kapt. Kangaroo... Always learning from your videos... Thanks for all you do!
That video you described with all the silver dollars was the first video I saw of yours. It was actually the video that inspired me to buy my first detector. For years I was debating whether or not to get one. And that video pushed me over the edge and I finally bought one. I've been digging treasure and cleaning up the ground ever since! I thank you for that. Thank you and happy hunting!
You're a natural-born teacher and bursting with enthusiasm, you want to convey all that information and it sometimes interferes (logjams), with your speech. That's normal for a gifted person and part of the chemistry. You remind me a lot of our (UK) Sir David Attenborough - it's a compliment :) Being able to successfully pull yourself up (from very little), by your shoelaces through hard work is what America (to the world), represents. Well done and all the best.
I love how you display all your cool finds! I've just started magnet fishing and have begun a small collection of antiquities and oddities, included a safe door, and old lock and a foreign coin! I really love making videos about finding these treasures, and really enjoy your videos and how you tie in nature and history.
Chigg I love your channel and you explain things in detail while you're rambling on sometimes. Hopefully they pick you up I'll be holding my breath until then. Good luck.
Maybe you can get someone to bury some treasure for you? :-)" Imagine your pocket money came in coins and bullion. But in the ground in some area no-one ever hunts and you have permission for...
If you can't get out and travel to some permissions, then you have time to do research and find old maps and reports and such to build up a good list of historic areas to check out WHEN you can get out there and search them. Lots of databases and other info are available online that treasure hunters back in the day had to search for in obscure libraries for years, if they could find it at all. Make your chances better while you have the time.
Maybe you can start a local kids club and and start hunting! There’s stuff everywhere! I was in Chicago once and detected in the only dirt near me . It was a tree with about 6x6 dirt around bottom. I found a silver quarter!
I also love history, getting close and personal with these artifacts you find is exciting. But you give us the story, a lesson about artifacts, learning this way is awesome even at my age (a little older than you).
You would be excellent because in your videos your excitement is infectious about what you find. And you teach so many things we are not taught in schools. And your right kids these days don’t understand it have the interest in the things that happened here before.
You were always so enthusiastic about the history of what you’ve found and never hesitant or impatient to repeat yourself to new viewers. Always humble and grateful to your audience. The one thing I also admire is your ability to laugh at yourself and try to cheer up others with encouragement.😊 Hope the next step in life comes to grasp and is most meaningful for you as well as others.
The videos you make Chigg are very interesting to me. I like finding old stuff like you do. Kids nowadays are hooked on tv and video games plain and simple.
OMG, I chose the silver coin pile for the most amazing thing you've ever found. Maybe I know you better than I first thought. This is a wonderful video and your comment about you "not being much of a talker" had me falling off of my chair. Excellent as always.
You would make a fantastic host Chig and with all the connections you have they can help fill in the “ gaps “, of information you may not know. I’d most definitely would watch your show. I’ve learned so much from you and the fellow metal detector friends you’ve had on your channel. I loved the video on your discovery of those silver coins. 👏👏👏
Hi Chig,as I said before my 7 yr old grandson is addicted to your vids he comes to stay on weekends, and wants to watch your videos and then wants me to take him metal detecting,he learns so much stuff from you , when my daughter comes to get him she's amazed by what he tells her what he seen on your vids,he's going to love seeing this
Chigg, I have been thirsty for a new video from you, and watching this one was a relief, furthermore it has expanded to me why, why was I anticipating, missing seeing your adventures, hearing your cool jokes....Thank you, so much, for this post.
You are so Awesome! I Love your passion, enthusiasm, and your spirit! Reminds me of a t-shirt I used to have (a quote by Joseph Campbell): Follow your Bliss! Thank you for sharing yours! Much Love and Many Blessings! ♡♡♡
I had a history teacher like you and loved his class because he made it fun. And so do you. You missed your calling. Should have been a teacher instead of the Health Department. Love what you do. 👍
I watch and subscribe to alot of you tube channels and i mean alot, but yours is my favorite because it's so interesting , i learn a real lot and it makes me think. I don't think i ever thunk much before i started watching you explore.
Good job. You are a very interesting educator. Your videos are always interesting from pointing out an eagle flying over head or a turtle in the creek. To finding a rose head nail or a square head nail telling viewers how old it is. To finding artillery shells from the civil war; investigating old roads long forgotten homesteads where you find thing that are lost and forgotten.I luv history also and look forward watching. Hope you are blessed with a show.
Myself and my fiancé found you on UK TV on Relic Hunters. I've always liked history programmes and when I found relic hunters Louise said "he has a nice face". When she said that she meant she could tell you are a good man. She might have fancied you but she/we were definitely impressed with your enthusiasm of the history of the UK. Because of that program I found you on TH-cam. Unfortunately we've lost Louise to pancreatic cancer at the end of April. Luckily we managed to get married at our front door in a pandemic if only for six days. I've bought myself and my daughter metal detectors and my dad has bought one as well. Hopefully I can get our seven year old outside more trying to find something. Wren likes watching your programmes as well which goes to show in my experience you can hold the attention of someone from seven to forty-seven no problem. Don't change and keep up the go TV and TH-cam.
I appreciate all the history you tell us of your finds and spelunking. I specially appreciate your term in the armed services. We cannot tell our veterans this enough. I too would like a video tour of your museum and finish the small spot about you have of your dad and uncle. Thank you again for your videos.
Good luck with the TV show! You certainly inspired me to purchase a detector after seeing one of your videos about 9 years ago. I watched each one after that starting with your first one. When I got to the mega silver spill video that was the one that made me write the check. After the first year of land hunting, I finally got my feet wet. Unfortunately, I wasn't finding much of anything. I studied every word you spoke and every move you made to find out what the secrete of water hunting was. Then you started dropping little hints and I applied them to my technique and it was game on! The finds started going thru the roof. Water hunting was (and is) now one of my favorites. Without fail, when my feet are wet, I would think about that day you found all those sliver coins hoping it would happen to me. Just a few weeks ago it did happen. I found a spill of (after 3 visits) 299 silver coins. Most of them are quarters but there was also over 70 half dollars. I owe a big thanks to you for inspiring me to go out there and give detecting a try. And another big thanks for showing us that anyone can do this. Thanks Chigg! You've enriched my life with so many great and happy moments.
One of the best shows ive ever seen you do. Im 61 and weather its prospecting or relic hunting or coin shooting it all about the adventure! Kid today are missing out. Most of the items i have found is junk or newer coins. I ve helpped people find lost items. Its not something ill ever get rich over but as i said it about the advemture
Living your dream! You, re the man! Very, very interesting information! Especially the mining/ working of copper in the Great lakes area....brings up the story of giants.Until you see any of the forest people ...seeing is believing! Would love to see your copper collection.
I could listen to your voice all day and tbh that’s one of the most important thing a presenter needs...look at David Attenborough, a voice to die for 👍🏻
Your just wonderful chigg! U would be perfect for any show! Hope u got it.! I wish I knew as much about history as u do! Why I love your channel. U find somethin and u tell us about it! Love it! And your personality just awesome!
One of these days can you give us a full tour of your relic room? I’d love to see more of your collection.
chigg has many videos about his finds they are great just go to aquachigger on youtube

I'm with you on the relic tour. It could be broken up into a series with a few episodes.
I'd also like to see a full tour of your stuff.

I think the world needs your influence 🌎

Another big kid here!
I absolutely love every aspect of hunting for historical artifacts. Researching where to hunt then the actual hunt and then researching the history of the items you find.
I was just thinking the same thing. I am 46. Chig has me looking at everything wondering about its history. I am extremely thankful for his channel.
Im 31 and when I heard him say he makes these videos for kids, I was like "WHAT!"
Maybe a couple blooper reals. Where you trip, fall into the river, spazz out over a spider/snake.. etc...
Chigg you are the best there ever is and ever will be. I’m glad you shared about your life story and how you rose to the top doing what you love. Let’s hope they see ya hat they could have in you.

Beau you are the most beautiful soul...... to know you is a beautiful blessing
Can't watch you without seeing that gleam in your eyes when you talk about what you are doing! I like watching you sooo much Chig!

Love you, we love your video and your face and everything you make we love it
Best of luck. You are proven to be a success already in your educating the masses. A deal that still allows you to run your YT channel is by far the best.
Good luck with this opportunity, anything you host or a part of will be great. Your passion for the stuff we do is what makes your channel one of my favorites.
👍😎👍🍀
Great service you give back
I’ve learned a lot from watching your videos and your absolutely right about teaching the younger generation . Thanks for your videos
Wonderful! I would love to see all you have collected over the years! Wow what a showroom! What history!
I don't wanna grow up,
I'm an Aquachig kid,
I know I'm 56, but I like when he digs,
Whenever he shows up with another vid,
I learn so much from Aqua chig.
Good luck, Brotha. You're one of the reasons I rehashed my metal detecting hobby. Haven't detected since I was a young lad on a farm in Michigan... That's how influential you are.
Hands down your my favorite utube,
detectorist,.
Boy, I hope there's a "part two" to this video. You were just getting to the good stuff!
Awesome...I'm the same way. The wonder of the finds and adventures..it's the best
I love how you display all your cool finds! I've just started magnet fishing and have begun a small collection of antiquities and oddities, included a safe door, and old lock and a foreign coin!
I really love making videos about finding these treasures, and really enjoy your videos and how you tie in nature and history.
also is that a woodpecker pecking in the background?!
Chigg I love your channel and you explain things in detail while you're rambling on sometimes. Hopefully they pick you up I'll be holding my breath until then. Good luck.
I’m 12 years old and you got me into loving history and metal detecting
I really love metal detecting but I have nowhere to do it
Maybe you can get someone to bury some treasure for you? :-)"
Imagine your pocket money came in coins and bullion.
I found a silver quarter!
keep it up beau blessed be ....love your videos
Your favourite find story is my favorite ever video and finds of yours!!! Man that was amazing
Thank you very much. really enjoy your videos the way you can read the lay of the land , streams and rivers
All I can say. Is always be you ... don’t let them “recreate “ you.
I love learning about history! I have enjoyed this channel!
Probably the best video you've ever put out. Solid and sincere.
Thanks for being the real person u are.
Am I the only one that immediately paused the video so I could look at all the cool stuff behind The Chigg. Look at all those bullllliiitttttssssss.
no I paused also but to check out the type cases the bullets are in.
I want him to show us the other walls.
ME TOO. SEVERAL TIMES!
He’s done videos of his collections just so you know 👍
Nope, you aren't... lol
Thanks for sharing this with us, Beau! When I started detecting a couple years ago, it was the stories that got me too.

I hope everything works out for you and you get the show you deserve it. Then there would be something on TV worth watching👍😀
I hope that was just part one been following for 7-8 years and it was real neat learning new stuff about the Chigg.
I appreciate what you do my friend. You have opened my eyes to a lot of cool stuff thank you
I had a history teacher like you and loved his class because he made it fun. And so do you. You missed your calling. Should have been a teacher instead of the Health Department. Love what you do. 👍
I watch and subscribe to alot of you tube channels and i mean alot, but yours is my favorite because it's so interesting , i learn a real lot and it makes me think. I don't think i ever thunk much before i started watching you explore.
great work Chigg, loved it. your a great teacher and inspiration.your videos are always good entertainment thanks for all the work you put into them
Great question, iam just giving apentions.love watching your program.
You will shine like we all know you do!!!! I sure hope you get it. God bless Chigg
Thanks for sharing your passion-if you don't it will be lost - I share your passion for history - thanks -Chigg
I could listen to your voice all day and tbh that’s one of the most important thing a presenter needs...look at David Attenborough, a voice to die for
👍🏻
Great video I enjoyed this one, you really should do more interviews and show us around the relic room while doing so, it’s very fascinating stuff!
So nice to learn more about your history Mr chiggs and good luck in your new adventure 🙏🙏😍👍
