43:48 Did Calus say “Evolution”? If so, id like to remind everyone that Oryx said something similar along the lines of “The Darkness is your evolution!” During Regicide.
I greatly appreciate the time and effort you've put into these videos. It's very much a service to the community, as it's not necessarily a way to grow a YT following or anything yet you've done it for our benefit. Thanks to you, my friend!
It would have made this season more interesting if the nightmare we had to deal with was Cayde-6. Having him haunt us for not saving him at the Prison of Elders. For letting Uldren Sov kill him. That would of at least given us the chance to see our favorite hunter again. Even for a little while.
As much as I wish it was the case, I don't think it would have work... Cayde-6 was to positive in life to haunt you. Well, he would have done, it for sure, but it'd be the kind of ghost that would make your door squeak while you sleep, just for the laught of it. The Final Shape trailer seems to tend toward this idea, maybe under the form of light specters : either as a continuity after the Final Death of guardians / humans... or a new use of darkness to carry us, like some kind of patronus. Edit : Now that I was finally able to play the exotic mission for the Dead's Man Rifle, I confirm that Cayde-6 was really to positive to haunt & hurt us. Sure our guardian take the blame and this memory can haunt him/her, but this is by far the only echo that doesn't taunt you.
@@sirjazz5776 Exactly, it would have felt way too cheap and fake if it was Cayde who haunted us, because we all know that Cayde would never blame us for what happened, so it would be very clearly our disappointment with ourselves manifested rather than the ghost of him. Hell I can't even see him blaming Crow for what Uldren did, he's not that kind of guy
now don't get me wrong here because i am eternally grateful at the effort taken to preserve the story but I have to say it would be about a million time better if you recorded these with subtitles turned on because youtube subtitles are bad on everything but they are especially bad when it come to all the names and words that are unique to the destiny universe
New to the game (as of the WC expansion and Season 17) and have a quick question. Is this the first appearance of the Derelict Leviathan? Or was it a part of a previous season?
Probably way too late responding to a 2 month old comment but it might still shed some light. The Leviathan first appeared back in Year 1 of Destiny 2 as the lanch raid. After the Red War campaign, Calus invited us aboard the Leviathan (orbiting around Nessus) to challenge us in what at the time was a pseudo-friendly contest against his army and himself, though at the end of the raid we find out that the Calus we'd been speaking to throughout was one of these androids. Over the year, we went back in a couple more times, one to basically unclog the engines after the Leviathan had swallowed a Vex mind called Argos (see 'Eater of Worlds') and later fight off off a siege on the vessel by the Red Legion under the command of one Val Cao'ur (see 'Spire of Stars'). So throughout Y1 we were still very unsure of Calus' motives but he at least seemd somewhat friendly. Fast foward to the final season of Year 2 (Season of Opulence) and we found ourselves going back there with it now looking far worse for wear as we enter a section of the ship we'd not been to before to uproot some Hive and Vex that had been kicking around (I can't really remember lore wise why the Vex were there but the Hive is coming up.) It was also in this season we got the 'Crown of Sorrows' raid where we first learn about the eponymous headpiece and Gahlran, who Calus created in an attempt to gain a 1-up on Savathun. I forget more details on what else happened but that's the jist of it at least. Then it kinda just stayed there until the Darkness came at the end of Year 3 (Season of Arrivals) and the Pyramids claimed a number of planets in the solar system. And as of Season of the Haunted, it;'s returned but now even more abandoned and covered in Egregore. At time of writing this, Destiny 2 is down as we wait for the Lightfall expansion to go up in a couple hours so while we definitely get to see Calus's story unfold, who knows if we might learn more about the Leviathan.

Cayde 6 should’ve been the guardians nightmare
If you read the lores, Ikora's nightmare is Cayde.

My character didn't play the forsaken campaign so, she would have zero clue who that is

If you read the trespasser’s lore tab, it shows Ikora’s nightmare, Cayde.
I think that is the shape Ikora’s Nightmare would take.

The game? Not so fun. The costs - extravagant. The time investment? ridiculous.
