This plane performs best with CG at 110mm from root leading edge with only a slight push for inverted. Holds a wheelie down the runway, all the way!

Fresh out of the Box 1st impressions are the best! Every time I hear the flight test "elevator music" it just takes the stress away!
Did some training in a PC9 back in the day. This is close enough. Very nicely flown, great looking model.
Paint one up like the RAAF Roulettes, yeah they fly PC-9As but as you say unless you are really paying attention these look pretty close, and no-one seems to be making RC PC-9s anymore. Wing shape's different, but hey

The greens and fairways on the new site should be excellent grass runways for aircraft like that.
That landing gear is so satisfying
Recently built one of these for one of my customers. Very nice looking plane and he sends me videos of it in action!
Quadcopter pilot is the unsung hero of this video. That was awesome flying keeping track of the Pilatus without talking to the pilot.

Awesome plane! Can remember back when it was introduced (the real one) that I was fantasizing flying in a real one. I was in awe of the modern, glass cockpit. (especially compared to the Cessna 172 I flew quite a couple of times with an uncle back then)
I learnt to fly with an ft flyer but you guys do it so darn effortlessly
Keep reviewing more FMS planes. The ones they have been producing for the last couple of years are really nice. I have the 1100 mm Typhoon, and love it.

If you ever get even a minuscule chance of going to a Flite Fest, do it! Don't think about it, just do it. Heck I'm coming over all the way from Germany, just to see the friends I've made over the last few years :)
As far as "when you fly", I personally favor the maiden flights because your emotional responses are fantastic to watch. But if there are some issues, I love seeing WHAT you need to do/adjust, etc, to get it to where you want it. So... bit of both!
Anytime you guys do a fixed wing test and review you have my interest. A really good thing is having two people who are at different flying experience levels able to give their impressions is always a plus.I really like what I have seen from FMS and PC-21 is real eye candy. Yours i the first review I have seen on this plane. I really like your feedback that it has a scale feel to it and is not overly sporty, Would really like to see some video on the setup used on this plane. Thankyou for another great fun useful video.
Guys I dig first experience episodes! Also love the reviews of the birds you’ve already flown for a while. Both have their place. What if you mash the two? Shoot first impressions and “out of the box” experiences and save the footage for a week or two of goofing around with the product, figuring out its personality. Then go in and add that portion to the later half of the edit and release the episode to showcase the best of both worlds. First impressions, then boom, here are the quirks we’ve experienced after a few weeks and here’s what you can do to have the best experience out of the box.

Great video excellent flying both the PC21 and the chase quad. I would like to see from box to first flight, so we can see how you mount the receiver and battery etc. keep the FMS and maybe some Force RC videos.
I like the first experiences as well as primed reviews, it kinda leaves the randomness or mix of products I see on Flite Test. Thought process, could we see some simple balsa kits? I would love to see a Flite Test community balsa build! Great stuff Alex! It's nice to see your progess across the hobby, wait till you get into F5J dude!
Balsa has been on the table for a while and I'd bet we will see a balsa kit build in the not so distance future.
The photography from the quad is always impressive too.
I would like to see reviews for all the large flightline EDFs with the intermediate-advanced flyer in mind. We've all grown from beginner levels with you guys, let us keep growing into the higher levels! Maybe the F-4/F-14/A-10 type aircraft. Keep up the great work!

You guys should do more EDF'S. I know FMS have some great ones like the red arrows hawk. You would love how that thing flies, trust me. Great video as always.

If you want speed, put a two-blade prop on it. My Multiplex Tucan is a similar airframe and it absolutely rips with the APC thin electric two blade prop.

More of this RC content and possibly more DTFB planes would be great to see. More challenges with FT designed planes, like FPV Arrow P-I-G trying to do passes under trees, or slaloming through trees, stuff like that.

YES! Clip the wings of a Trojan... and keep on clipping until it can no longer be flown :D
It's fast on 5S 1800mah 2 blade prop. But aside from the speed this thing is on Rails that's what I love about it it's the perfect fpv headtracking platform which is what I done with mine. Alex if you see this put a pan and tilt unit with a caddx Tarsier fpv HD camera AIO 5S 1800 2 bladed prop. It'll be the most exciting fpv experience you ever have because it's on Rails.
You guys should start these reviews on the bench and go through your out of box experience and setup. Then go to the field and do this kind of content. As a bonus, Josh and Matt should come up with a routine first or at least practice certain maneuvers so the quad and plane are in perfect formation a la Blue Angels style. I bet the footage would be much better! And as always, thanks for sharing!

I can see a challenge coming, Could the PC-21 be the new rare bear? Put in larger KV motor, put on 2 Blade prop, larger esc? come on flite test you know you want to!

Does anyone know what is going on with the vlogs vs episodes/reviews?
I know they are busy with Flite Fest and the new location, but there hasnt been any "vlogs" lately in the sense that its VLOG00121 or something like that.
Just wondering if the original vlogs will make a comeback or if the shorter videos are the new vlogs?

Absolutely love this plane, even before fms made it.
Update: 2020, purchased this plane, and right out of the box, its strikingly beutiful, the landing gear and flaps is a very nice touch, and the 5-bladed prop is a work of art, have to wait till the summer to get it flying though. (Bad weather)

Exactly my thoughts. They could have edited in a clip of just the plane flying without that noisy drone. I love their videos but that drone noise is getting very annoying...

IIRC, the PC-21 replaced the PC-9, which the Australian Air Force has used as a trainer and display aircraft since replacing the Macchi jets in the late 80's / early 90's.
PiDsMedia correct. The RAAF is now using the pc-21 as a trainer.

Biggest thing slowing that plane down is probably that prop if not change the motor out because that shape is born to move!!
Hey guys i was wondering if you could do a review and build vidio of the hobby king glue and go series and if you do get the glue and go j 20 the cg is foward from where the manual says if you use the cg in the manual you will fly alpha

with 5 blades, they had to pull all the pitch out of the prop... put a two blade prop on it with all the pitch back in there and it'll scoot along nicely. the lack of pitch also accounts for some reduction in noise.
