I actually perfer her pre-belting years. I guess it is because I’m Norwegian, and perfer the more natural and straight forward way of singing we do here. Belting is an American thing.

Years ago when I was young Diana Ross stared in “Lady Sings the Blues” I was moved in a way that caused me to read anything about Billie Holiday! Jazz and Blues grips ahold of my soul. Not many 12-year-olds especially girls can cover a James Brown iconic song and give it such heart and soul. Angelina is a generational talent who is able to transcend many, many decades of great music from the past and having mentors like Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong and the great Frank Sinatra have given her this ability and vocal dynamics because of her Jazz DNA that just resonates each and each time she sings to you. Her modern mentors like Whitney Houston, Adele, Amy Winehouse, Norah Jones, and the great Elvis Presley also had added to her vocal abilities and she can bring any of one of these artists out in her vocals and give it such a unique sound that only Angelina Jordan. can. Angelina was absorbing her grandma's jazz collection when shebwasbin diapers. By age ten, she was browsing the stacks of used vinyl at shops across her hometown, Copenhagen and constantly searching recordings online.

Hi Krizz, They did a lot of practice the winter before and recorded their Album "it's magic" they performed here for the 200 anniversary of the band. But the piccolo clarinet you hear life was a wish from Angelina I read as a part of a duet to make it more interesting. She is music 🎶 one of the first comment from a judge at NGT 🎉 She's a creator and a gift for the band 🎀 the album stayed a lot of times on the iTunes jazz chart.

during the Pandemic Angelina got caught on a picture somewhere in LA in a corner of a street behind a table giving food to homeless people - she learned the helping part from her beloved Grandpa who had done similar in Norway - you cant read about that on her homepage because it is private to her - Angelina is a breething living role Modell for all people - no politican or star would do similar without press around and showing the world but not Angelina - yes i am so proud of her - Angel from Germany

How? She started singing at 1 and a half years old! She has been exposed to this genre of music her whole life because of her grandmother, who was a prodigy herself in poetry and visual arts.
The album which accompanied this concert performance, “It’s Magic”, is still on the iTunes top Jazz albums chart, and many of the singles from the album are also on the singles chart, for more than 6 years now, that in and of itself is incredible!

Hi krizz, i do like your reactions to in my opinion the best vocal on the planet , and a tone to die for , i have one small ask ,please can you get her age right because people watching you and Angelina for the first time need to know her age , us Angel's know her age on everything she sings , some reactors say shes probably 15 whens shes actually 11 just an example, it just makes the reaction hard to watch because you are actually reacting to what is not real , look forward to many more ,you will not believe how much emotion this special girl puts in every song she sings , she was born to do this .she was only 12 in this superb cover 😢.
My theory about Angelina's ability to put across emotions in her singing (even ones that she has not directly experienced) is that it is because her level of empathy is off the charts. She can draw the emotions out of hearing a song and translate them to the closet thing in her experience, And then deliver them back amplified. It's really something. This empathy theory is also supported by the fact that so much of her work is for charity, as well the story she wrote about the reason for her barefoot singing, that made her the youngest published author in Norway. BTW...clarinet can have a lot of soul in Jazz, just listen to some street jazz from New Orleans!

If you're body is equipped to *sang* professionally this is right around the age you're going to realize it. Bone structure, lungs and musculature has a great deal to do with it and as you just said, she's been singing all her life. It takes a lot of vocal exercises each and every day but you have to hone your musculature as a singer every bit as much as somebody in sports would have to do. It takes practice. Lots of it.
Empress of Jazz! Nobody holds a candle to her. In my opinion the best vocalist on ANY stage today.

I love someone of your status has found her as well. Her self penned " Million Miles " Live studio version breaks my heart and is the best tribute anyone could ever do to a lost grandparent!

Sterling Fox/Baby FuzZ wrote a song... I'm Still Holding out for You.. And sent a tape with music and lyrics on paper to some singers.. One of them was Angelina 12 years old. FuzZ decided to sing it him selve and it was no hit. Someone leaked Angelinas demo version and we are aloud to listen to it by FuzZ. The sound quality of the recording on a phone in the audience was not great, though we are most grateful someone did it. But the quality of her voice and skills still comes through clearly. She was so astounding as she continued to explore and expand her vocal control through these years. So many really remarkable covers during this stage. Back when she was 10 she was asked to demo a new song by Baby Fuzz that had not been previously recorded. It was too good to keep it in the studio.
