I’ve had this comic for years and have never even considered reading it but kept it because it was a gift. Thanks to you I will not only read this, I will also try to collect the series. Great video, please keep them coming
Haber cuando lo traéis a los países de habla hispana en español y traéis todos tengo muchas ganas de tener esta colección es buenísima le tengo un cariño ❤❤❤
My compliments. I have the enter Epic run of Dreadstar, as well as the Metamorphosis Odyssey. Your presentation is excellent, full of good information, and very easy to follow. Just one small suggestion. In one of the letters pages, a reader asked how you pronounced "Oedi." The answer was like the diminutive of "Edward." To be fair, I always pronounced it exactly like you did in your presentation until I read the letter and answer.
I collected most of the First Comic titles back in the '80s, and Dreadstar was always the one I looked forward to the most. I still have them in a comic box with other comics I collected at the time. I also enjoyed Badger, but it didn't stand up as well over time. Nexus and Grimjack were my other favorites. It's great to see someone revisiting Dreadstar, so I look forward to your future videos.
I am a massive Grimjack mark and I hope to take a look at some of those in the future. My plan is to alternate between Dreadstar comics and other stuff week by week so people don't get bored looking at the same stuff in a row. I don't know how much Dreadstar I'm going to look at, certainly the first nine or ten issues, maybe as far as the stuff before Luke McConnell started on it. But I'm glad you enjoyed this video, thanks for subscribing. :)
I absolutely LOVED this comic until it became like every other comic.... ....and Dread started wearing tights. 😒 He lost his sword... 🤢🤮 Such a great start. And then he became all smiles. 🤨 Bright sky blue suit?!? In the beginning he was such a manly super hero that seemed almost real. Rough, dark, serious and eager to kill monsters (govts) that oppress good people. He felt "called" to be good because he clearly saw the evil. Someone had to do it. He would. Even if it meant he might have to give his life. Not possessing every super power or the greatest at any super power (he couldn't lift the universe). Vanth needed a team and the team needed him. And yet the universe still needed them. Sad to see the fruit cakes ruin it for us.

Ed, I think Oedi is pronounced Ed. Named after Starlin's cat.
