Filthy the switch of Monaco + the terracotta army was genius. Your army like tripled in one turn. I would get so stomped against you.

That terracotta army timing was brutal, I was just skipping around to watch a bit of a Venice game for once and thought it was neat how you were able to get a boost of units from buying the city state, and then when I saw the real boost from terracotta, man that's one heck of a timing push.

Venice is overpowered when you do it the way you did it. There is no way one player can find off an attack when Immortal city states are feeding you tons of free units. Yes Venice is weak overall but can be quite strong for early war.

Is this the Iruk from early Filthy games? Always cool to see you in his game.
Though I DON'T think Venice can be overpowered because generally puppets are useless and double trade route isn't enough for one-city-challenge.

A military city state with no military, lol

at around 2:00 a Nit Picker should be saying something like "this guy steals a worker from Hanoi really early on and loses his starting warrior/spearman, thus letting barbarians roam freely over the land, and then wants the city state he ruined to have military units he can make use of" ... that is what a nit picker should say. or should have said a year ago.

I think the quirk with Venice is you can conquer a city, than choose to raze it immediately, or you can puppet it but never raze it again. It's probably a gap in the logic, but when you try to raze the city later, it seems the programming thinks, "So, you want to raze the city, but you'd first have to annex it, and Venice can't annex," but there's a bypass when the city is first conquered. I play quite a bit of Venice in single-player, and I've had that bite me in the ass a few times.

no its not a bug its intentional. just like you cant raze your own founded city you cant raze city you choose to puppet because those are your full cities. when you puppet as a normal civ they arn't your cities but as Venice they are.

What use is a Declaration of Friendship (other than being able to exchange gold) in multiplayer games??

+Y Alatiqi Sweden's UA gives a bonus to great people production to both sides when you sign a declaration of friendship with someone. For any other civ it's just a way to show that you are allies with them.

What's he on about Venice being overpowered. He knew Filthy was building his military he had a scout watching, he would of been notified that Filthy built terracotta army. Plus buying the city state (which without Venice would be unplayable) which had troops why is he surprised Filthy had a huge military.

civ has a unit cap depending on population and city count. If you have 1 city the amout of unts you can have is super small even with 12 pop.
