Since November 2014, all new passenger vehicles sold in the EU must be equipped with a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
TPMS has been fitted to cars for many years but recently the mandatory fitment and maintenance of such systems has come into force. The process began with the introduction of legislation on 1 November 2012, whereby all new models of cars sold in the EU had to have a TPMS fitted. This was broadened out in November 2014 to include every new passenger vehicle being required to have a TPMS before being sold. In the UK on 1 January 2015, legislation came into force stating that for these vehicles, an inoperative or faulty TPMS sensor would result in an MOT failure.

Thanks bought that tool for £3 and worked. To other people who say it dosent work make sure the correct tyre pressure is in each tyre depending on the tyre setting you have set on your dash or it wont work. Meaning if your tyre is 30 and you put 31 in tyre the dash light wont come off.

The most chaotic, hilarious yet ultimately very useful video on TH-cam!
My problem was the tyre pressures were more than 32PSI but the error light was coming on. The reason was the sensor had been set to Eco. The final two minutes of the video explains how to set it back to Lo.

As the battery fades with age in the tps you need to hold tool firmly against tyre sidewall as signal is weaker. Indicator will be solid on each corner as you say front left etc good video

I had the same problem the back tyre driver side wont make a sound not sure what else to do
Might be low battery in the tyre wheel sensor or it might be the furthest away from the cars internal sensor?

Hi please good afternoon, I av thesame problem but mine is showing 3 tyre pressure on the screen instead of 4. Does that mean one of the sensor is not working on the one that is not showing the tyre pressure. Thanks

I have a 2019 mokka x, i just got 4 new tyres, and same as you, i have 3 tyre pressures being displayed, off side rear isnt, ive had it checked and the sensor is good, but its not displaying, if you fixed yours could you let me know how, many thanks.
