Frank Bender was the pioneer in forensic facial reconstruction. He was a patient of mine (and his wife Janice). They both died of cancers not too far apart from each other. Frank did not live to see how his work caught List. They were really nice, down to earth people and consummate artists both in their the own fields, he a sculptor, she a painter.

List was caught in 1989, and Bender didn't die till 2011. So he certainly did live long enough.

To my knowledge she was never found…she was seeing a guy that her parents didn’t approve of, there were lots of arguments, groundings,!then she started running away, then she disappeared…known only to God now she will always be missed. To find out weight, you need shoe print. Its the impression of the shoe on the ground that will tell you how the person walks or how much they pressed down to the ground (weight). You can't tell how much a person weighs by just looking at their shoe. That goes for height as well. There are tall people with small feet and short people with bigger feet. The make of the shoe wouldn't matter either because people sometimes save money to buy expensive shoes. It happens all the time. Multiple people wear the same style of shoes. They make thousands, even millions of the same shoes. It would just be too difficult for them to narrow that down to one person, especially if it is a very common brand or style. They didn't include it because it probably didn't get them anywhere.

Digital facial reconstruction is used today why spend weeks on a skull manually. Man confesses 5 murders on his own and detectives take 20 years to find him. That's disturbing

I have done a facial reconstruction of Leonardo da Vinci! Funny thing, the old man in red chalk we all know and love, that is not him. The Vitruvian man, Cristo di Lecco and Musician are him. And so is Michelangelo's David, only not as perfect a match, just like the universally accepted profile in red chalk, not a good match.

``Laser-beam accuracy?'' Just leave out descriptive phrases! Be that as it may, Taylor's training isn't the only valuable thing about her skills; she kinda got some sorta angel or spirit on her side, to draw that face.

If Melinda was pregnant by another man, where’s the baby’s skeleton? Was she never pregnant or did animals take baby’s remains away?

1994- Texas - Two hunters stumbled on to a skeleton and a shoe. A face reconstruction helped to catch the killer who was a truck driver. The last episode of John List is one of the best episodes. John list wanted a new life so in 1971 he killed his wife and two children and his own mother and left a confession as disappeared. 18 years passed and the God fearing church going John Emile List the killer of his family was still at large.

In the case of the mother searching for her daughter I would have gone to several psychics who work with the police. I don't feel it would have taken twenty years or more to find her. Noreen Rainer and others liker her are very impressive. I wish they would bring back the crime documentary Psychic Detectives. I wish there was a whole unit of them working together to solve crimes so it want take years and years.
