It looks like something done in the 60s and 70s. I knew a man who would buy old houses and split them into 3 and 3 apartments. Some were just studio apartments. There weren't as many regulations back then but even so I'm positive not all of his were quite legal. He had actually bought my grandparents old place. Then after he passed his widow sold it to my brother for a very low price and he restored it to what it looked like in my grandparents time. Now his grandson lives in it.
So much mould. Altho having no ventilation or heat since being abandoned soon takes it's toll huh? Great explore and look at that render all blown outside! All the appliances, doors and railing that you showed would be a blessing for someone to have that's trying to fix their home without going broke trying to do so... THEY SHOULD JUST GIVE THEM AWAY or SELL THEM. They look like they were never used!! Washer/dryer combo are excellent for limited space and they do work very well. I just don't understand why the city, state, county or whoever is responsible for this property would just let all the salvageable iitems even the windows, bathroom fixtures etc. just go to rot when someone would be so happy to get these things. This is one of the BEST videos on this subject I have seen, and I have seen many. If they don't fix or sell it ,it becomes an EYE SORE especially if there is a home owner on the block that's looking to sell their property as something like this always affects the value of someone elses home. This is how a block becomes rundown when a house like this is allowed to rot away. "WHAT A TERRIBLE WASTE " Thanks RIDDIM..

I love that staircase going upstairs. I have a thing for nice staircases. Some of then can be soo nice amazing. That is something different about those apartments is what I'm guessing it was at one point in time. It is neat that you came across this while exploring. You never know what you're going to find. Another cool find, you do find some amazing places though. This was a weird set up of a mini mansion could of been apartments at one time. It's a same that it's abandoned though. Too bad they can't put money in it and fix it up and turn it into something someday. Such a shame. Thanks for the video. Keep up the good explores. Take care, be safe! Have a good day. Bad roofing definitely seems to be the demise of this place, probably too much damage done by the time it was found and they couldn't afford to fix it. I was thinking college dorms kind of place. Definitely a good place for young singles or couples.

How do you go about getting permission on filming the houses
Probably serious mould issues from within the building. We almost bought a nice home. 2 houses for the price of 1. Found out the house had to be demolished because the mould.

The structure of the apartments from the outside looked exclusive, probably because it was a mansion, before being converted into an apartment. However, once inside, the rooms looked small and cramped. These was because too many rooms were built within close proximity of each other, just so the landlord could earn more from rental fees. Each rooms had a modern looking furniture, bed and kitchen cabinet, which seemed to reflect a contemporary design. The apartment is suitable for singles or couples who's planning to start a family. Why does these abandoned mansions always have the same issues with water damage...its either in the basement or coming in from roof damage.Certainly,these were beautiful homes at one time but wasn't built to last! Love the staircases,but the black mold has clearly taken its toll!😏☠️💀
