The fact that Rumple says “that Snow Queen’s good isn’t she?” as they watch her spell trap everyone in the town and Killian just looks at him like “mf, what’s WRONG with you?”
Rumple could you NOT. I am so done with him, wait and see but i belive karma is gonna get him. How can he even think Henry is going to go with HIM, without his two mothers. These sort of selfish acts is why Neal hated for so long. Rumple is the definition of a selfish coward.
When will Rumple ever learn not to be so selfish and power hungry?! Every now and then he does something kind of good and unselfish but then he just goes back to his old ways. He will end up loosing Belle forever and then blame everyone else for it instead of learning that he is the only one to blame.
I sometimes wonder why some people just cannot enjoy a great character. Rumple is Rumple, and in the original story he died because he kept his secrets to himself and in the end the truth came out. You know, this Rumple right here and now is the Rumple at its finest, the original Rumplestiltskin. Enjoy him. Not everything is about a love story.
Rewatching these clips and you're right. And I guess many wanted a love story bcs he also played the Beast from Beauty & the Beast. So it was a consequence of that. I really enjoyed his trickery tbh.
Poor Killian under Rumple's control. Rumple is such an ass. He deserves to lose everything and everyone. He is more concern with keeping his power than helping anyone. Neal should've never brought his father back. He should've left Rumple to his fate especially since he continues to put everyone's life in danger including his own grandson.
Okay, but imagine if Rumple forced Hook to use the hat on Emma. That would‘ve been brutal, not only for Hook, but for us as well. Picture Hook, coming to see Emma, Emma being happy and all, while Hook hides the Hat under his jacket. Emma is home alone and she asks Killian in. Right after she closes the door and turned around, Hook takes the hat and has to watch Emma being sucked into it (He has that look that he always has when Emma is taken away (remember the season 3 finale, when the Evil Queen takes her?)) For a short cut we see Rumple smiling, while he holds the heart, just to cut back to Killian, crying because of what he did… I know it‘s bad written, let your fantasy play 😅🥲
rumple never irritated me. i liked that the entire show was him toggling back & forth with being bad or good. he was never fully either he just struggled in the middle. & i always knew he’d be defeated somehow so i was never super concerned about what was happening. he was always there to throw a wrench in the story & make it more interesting too. only time i was a little ticked was S6 when {SPOILER} belle is pregnant & he wouldn’t leave her alone. rumple in the state that he was in that season was bad for their child. it was better for every party involved for him to stay away.
He was always a great character, my problem is that the writers wanted to have their cake AND eat it too when it came to him and Belle. He worked best as an antagonist/villain but they make him be in love Belle, who’s naturally heroic. This makes him want to be better, sure, but they never commit to long-term changes because he works best opposite the heroes but they wouldn’t dare make Belle evil either because she’s a disney princess and this show was Disney’s bitch from this season onwards. Which just trapped rumbelle in a cycle of repeating the same story over and over with no way out and ultimately making Belle seem like an idiot for sticking by him. Her kicking him out of town using the dagger was (I felt) a logical conclusion to their relationship to me (according to how things had unfolded up to that point) but they immediately backtracked it in the worst way possible, which took the significance out of the moment. Basically, it’s complicated and I’ve had like 5 years to let thoughts stew 😂
I like how they showed the sliver of goodness in Gold by having him want to save Henry, yes it’s partly his fault Henry would even need saving but it’s a step in the right direction
I love how people are so dumb and hypocritical to enjoy and love some villains like Evil Queen or Peter Pan or Zelena or even when Hook was literally the most dick character in the show, but just because Rumple after everything that happened in S3,started to act like the villain again, threw all kinds of shits at him!like shame on you!
0:32 AWW!

Nenyve If anyone needed a good 12-step program, it would be this guy.
DataGirl3 You've got that right. :)

Maybe it one of those love to hate them type of things.

yes, they love each other SOO much that they give each other lovely nicknames! :P
Myriam G Lad isn't really a nickname. It's could be the equivalent of 'dude' in america
oh i see! ... just like when hook says 'mate' !
Yeah it's the same thing :P

It’s kind of cute how Rumple does care about Henry because he’s Neal’s son
