The game changed sooo much, I started playing around the time when it first was created and I had played forest territory before WCUE existed! I remember that in it’s “early days” as I’m gonna call it- now if my memory serves correctly (because my memory can be quite bad) you couldn’t make your own cat at the time-, and the map wasn’t even finished! It was and is fascinating to see this game progress further.
You’re completely right! The lobby was just a clear slab and you had to walk on differently coloured pads to get a pre-made morph. When the customization (beta) came out, I was so excited, and look at the game now!
I remember when the specs were peoples avatars because you couldn't swap between ages without resetting, also the rainbow cats with the kittypet accessory colours. Good old times.

Even though the new song kinda fits the 'wild cats in the forest' vibe more with the marimba-y instrument it has, the previous one was so mysterious and calming.

Everyone knew how to play because you could only find it by looking up warrior cars, and if you didn’t know what warrior cats wad you wouldn’t search it. There were very little people playing it and I miss it a lot, but the new morphs are amazing too.

I bought the beta late in development ‘cause I was, and still am, broke. I never got any glitches. Also, holy cow do I miss the old lobby. It made locating new roleplays a breeze since you always knew that they were in the lobby. It’s not difficult to join roleplays now, but it was much easier in the beta. Also the easier sliding was so nice because my computer was turned into a brick forcing me to play on mobile. Sliding was fun.
Man, I remember back in beta when everyone would gather in the lounge and just sit, nobody was actually roleplaying and it was hell. The old kitty pet house was where I would spend all my time, just wandering around as my first main and eating catnip. The small place with the fire was always my favorite place to be, but I also used to roleplay that on the other side of the fence with the hole in, was a rabid dog. It brings so many memories but I honestly wouldn't go back. Usually, you would spend hours making a morph because there were so many glitches, and even at that, it wasn't even that customizable. The community was great, but it honestly hasn't changed that much. I would say that the new version is way better, and the community has grown so much, so I would rather look at the positive.
...I actually cried on this. I only joined not too long ago, right before the prey update. Watching this, it made me realize how different and more fun the game used to be, also more like the books. It just makes me so sad.
I miss bug eye. I wanted to take a picture of it and make it my profile but never got to it. Now, all my glitches are gone and I could never. I also had patch tail and one ear up one ear done glitch. Good times.

tbh I miss the lobby. Tube cats was nice though, and I'm sad that the group where it still exists is kinda dead. I remember so many OC's I made using tube cat game. THe beta was nice though, and the little easter egg in the first lobby was always fun to show to new players.
I miss beta not just for the lobby but because you didn't need to server hop over a dozen times to find a good rp server, hopping servers was a RARE thing. Nowadays you have to spend half an hour looking

Tbh the lobby would be a good thing to come back in the game, it personally annoys me that some people host a rp during a clan rp. Or those morph trades and those specs that cant be claimed for a rp just chat during a clan rp, it would be a good idea instead of hosting a rp during a rp. For me morph traders and cannot-be-claimed specs make the clan seem big yet small when a patrol starts, it’s annoying but those specs that can be claimed ONLY for a rp IN the clan is fine, (sibling,warriors best friends, mate, etc) but the specs the can claimed for a barn rp or any non in the clan rp can go to the lobby. This is just my opinion dont not reply if ur gonna hate on my opinion. You can say ur opinion about this but dont hate on mine,

I've only been on wcue for about a year now, I've never played the beta at all. (I joined around the last fall map) Yet this looks hilarious and gorgeous at the same time. I honestly would've liked to still have a small lobby where you can just sorta chill.
I really miss the lobby, it was a place to hang out, start rps, and do morph comps and stuff without disrupting, I honestly hope they bring it back but I kinda doubt they will
