“Stop trying to find the right person; be the right person. Instead of being with someone who makes you happy, first be someone who makes you happy.” - Jay Shetty 💛

TOTALLY GET IT!!! This is what was ministered to me by God's Spirit in 2014.. it changed me and changed my life! My prayer became "Lord, make ME & mold ME to be the right person FOR the right person for me!" After a 90-day fast, my "huckleberry" entered my life till death did us part. We met and married the love of our life and for that we were eternally grateful! He passed April 8, 2020.

Fathers should be openly criticized by their community if they are absent in their child’s life.

So important to hear that even if the father and mother are not together, they can still build!

Hope this word reaches all the ears that need to hear it. Including those of women that'd be calling the men names when they are called to be the driving force (the helper) for the men to tap into their true potential.

Big takeaway: You don’t have to have it all together to make a big impact.

AO, you said it, “those fathers CHOOSING to be absent!”….because some fathers actually DO MAKE THAT CHOICE for whatever the reason. We ALL have room to improve, do better, etc. but for those fathers who have the CHOICE to be absent - - Happy Father’s Day to you in spite of your poor choice! 💛

I think his point is deeper than that though. When he used the example of his father, I think he made the case that if you are not there that is a choice you made because if you really want to be there nothing will stop you. Some men blame their absence on women "not letting them" father. If you let someone stop you from doing anything in life, how much did you really want it?

Regardless how a relationship ends, both parents have a LEGAL responsibility to provide for the child you create.

That’s BS. If a mother will have to wait for money to be right or her life in place when it comes to taking care of their babies then they weren’t be mothers. We take the responsibility, we don’t eat to make sure our babies are fine. We don’t sleep making sure the baby is ok when they don’t feel good. So it sounds like his dad did not want the responsibility and him getting his life together is the biggest lie there is.

Watching this episode made me think how I allowed myself to think that I have to have everything in order to do better. It prompt me to call my daughters and know that its not always about the money (being able to do things that require money).
