Another great review Phil, as always! One thing that most reviews haven't mentioned (which honestly I just thought about now) is how the Slicer can be really handy for DJs to use as a visual guide for dropping into the next track - whether they want to drop into the 1, 4, or create cool patterns from being on and off beat keep up the great work
That was my original thought, but as of now it's a bit above what I can afford. I guess I'll wait and see if I can gather the funds or if someone comes up with one first. Thanks for the quick reply, I love the videos.
Great video, very precise DigitialDJTips! thanks. First off I'm SSL user but not Itch, few questions, if you don't mind... 1) when SSL is plugged in 380,pad FX is control by SSL interface not Itch right ? 2) Can we set our hot cue, slicer etc from SSL interface or is that better from Itch? 3) Referring to above questions, VSI could do more with Itch interface ? Limited functions thru SSL ? 3) Apparently Vsi-380 is an excellent piece, was wonder if is any similar range to this ?
Sounds like the pads are velocity sensitive. Does that mean you can trigger samples in the sampler at different velocities? That would be a big selling point for me.
Hey phil I've recently been really enjoying these reviews! i was thinking, why don't you do a show case on each controller? So that we can see what can be done with these controllers.
Great review!! However I would like to know if it is possible to send the effects through the microphone such as an echo, or would I still have to use my VFX1 for that?
Vestax VCI series best for Serato Itch and Serato Intro, Virtual DJ lags when loading music , with Seratos crate system is just simple and it runs smooth also traktors should just be simple and bpms are off
Man ive watched so many of your videos to try and decide on which controller to get. This one looks like the one but im so indecisive. You need make a product rating like from 1-10 so i can compare it to others after i watch your videos. lol. but i hope decide on something soon.Thanx for all the videos.
If I connect Serato Scratch Live on this device in a club via analog mixer mode, can I then use the two jog dials to DJ instead of timecode cds on a CDJ or timecode vinyl on a turntable?
PHIL, i have a question: I'M TORN b/w vci 380 and traktor kontrol s2. in a perfect world i would have traktor software with filter knobs and standalone capabilities. Is there a way i can talk with you easier to pick ur brilliant mind? thanks
Hey Marty, hard to say, imagine standard might be US or UK. Looks like you might be able to get an adaptor off of Amazon (or contact the seller if you feel you've gotten the wrong items)
if you're used to the real feel of vinyl control stay away from these controllers, you'll just find yourself selling it later on to go back to vinyl control!

Love this, i had the twitch and really liked the beat pads but missed the jog wheels a lot so this is defiantly a fix.

Thanks for the reply.
1) Is to use a standalone mixer, can the FX pads still usable ?
2) can VCI-380 control Ableton Live ?
Great review . Do you know if the faders are interchangeable with alternative performance ones?
Great review!

Where is your review for the Numark 4trak mate?
Is there a chance that this could be mapped to traktor or is it more or less locked in with serato?

hi... i just want to know wen this baby it's coming out and what it's the price???
Hi Phillip, is it still worth buying this? i heard that vestax is out for business.
If we don't care about 2 o 4 channels, what do you prefer, 380 or 400?
if you had to choose between traktor and vci, which one
is better?
excellent review thanks!
Sure!
traktor s4 or vci 380>? im a beginner and a litte confused on which one to buy....any suggestions?
Hello... I bought one of these off eBay...it came with a foreign plug..is this right? should it come with a UK adaptor or is this the norm?

Hiya is it compatible with VDJ?
Hey, yep :)
Is this Mixer compatible with DJing program Virtual DJ?
Great thanks :)
What speakers are you using?
I love your reviews Phil, really the best.
So all of the savings I just spent on my Twitch were all for nothing? )':
The pitch faders are too short and really hard to work with on certain songs
wud this work on virtural dj
