King Boo is not happy at Hellen for failing to capture Luigi before he leaves with the painting of Princess Peach and he decides to used her as bait to lure him into his trap. Leaving Hellen Gravely to guard the painting of Mario before she grows upset.
Always preferred Luigi to Mario.
Also hilarious that for the Gamecube, Mario got a sentient squirt gun, Luigi got a extradimensional appliance that has the ability to devour extraplanar entities, yet still differentiate items of value. I think Luigi got the better deal.
At least the Poltergust doesn't have an annoying voice
@@myarmsrgone Plus, the Poltergust can defeat super strong ghosts and has upgrades. Another thing is that King Boo couldn't care less about Mario, but when he sees Luigi he knows who the real threat is.
Mario get the more magical/mystical stuff with rules/limits, LUIGI on the otherhand. Gets all the science and gadget gear that is continuously improved on by hand. Luigi is lucky he met Egad tbh, man can improve these items simply cuz he wants to and has a knack/use for them each.

E. Gadd gives you a Virtual Boo, based on the Virtual Boy, and says it will fly off the shelves... The problem is that the Virtual Boy itself did not fly off the shelves at all. Should we tell him?
Fun game took me 23 hours and 48 minutes to beat it. The reason is. I was getting every gem and boo without looking up any guides. Also an alternate title for this game should be Vacuum Everything Simulator. Because that is what you do to get pretty much every single item in the game.

I think the original Luigi's Mansion on Gamecube got just so much praise that Nintendo decided to produce not just one, but two sequels so far. Now this Mario spin off based on Luigi has become such a popular and a fan favourite that I doubt this series will ever end. The two games were gold, but this one spanned a much bigger map and had incredible graphics. It also added so many new ghost types to the Mushroom Land legendarium and now stuff is happening out of Luigi's original mansion, which means elsewhere. I think at the time they never realised how good the original was going to be. Now this is a real specific series of games.
And for the first time King Boo has a #1 fan love interest.
Nintendo had no interest in developing the second game. It was the doing of Next Level Games, a longtime partner of Nintendo who, much like its older cousin Retro Studios, is known for revivals of older properties like Punch Out and Luigi's Mansion. Next Level also developed the third game. Given the success they've seen, another game is likely, with the same, now owned by Nintendo developer

It's sad that GameXplain actually forgot about this game being one year old. And it's even more sad that Nintendo forgot about their own game. I hope Charles Martinet remembered about this game and is having a good time playing it

Indeed. Luigi's Mansion 3 is perfect to play for Halloween for those who aren't into the blood and gore... Just sucking up ghosts and giving the slam attack on them, just like Paper Mario's 1000 fold arms skill on bosses including the one on the stapler via the breaking of the jaw...
Also, happy 1st anniversary Luigi's Mansion 3! Hope he has another game in the future but on a different arc or building to hunt ghosts!

Realizing now… Chris Pratt really did sound like Mario… Even more than Charlie day sounded like Luigi although for some reason in movie form it sounds better with Charlie as Luigi vs Chris Pratt as Mario, I just thought that was interesting when I noticed it as they were getting out of the bus when they all arrive at the mansion.
In my opinion this series is the best spooky-friendly video-game series.
And with "spooky-friendly" I mean that while there are ghosts, people's trapped in paintings, etc., almost nothing actually scares you.

He's definitely my favorite, most chill ghost in the trilogy

This is a theory I've had since the 1st Luigi's Mansion: I think the reason Luigi doesn't use his athletic and acrobatic abilities in the games such as jumping is because the Poltergust is heavy, so it's not that he won't jump or run, he can't.

I guess I’ll get this but I kind of have a problem with slam move. I wouldn’t mind it but it makes it a bit too easy to catch ghosts. Instead here’s how it should have been. When Luigi is trying to slam the ghost it should have the tug of war movement like in the 1st and 2nd game and it should also have the gauge meter level that was in 2 which would affect the amount of ghost damage depending on which color meter the player presses A.

Honestly I still loved the original more. It was more realistic and intimidating. The enemies and bosses were scarier and intimidating as well. Not to mention they had backstory of how they died and what they do. They had meaning. LM 3 had some huge missed opportunities.
I feel like it's pretty close to Max atMM & Max: CoB. The second is a good game, whilst the first is way better. Though these two pretty differ in their game genres.
