- As they are touring, the Partridge Family (Shirley Young, David Cassidy, Susan Dey, Danny Bonaduce, Jeremy Gelbwaks and Suzanne Crough) end up performing to an audience that is very hard to please.
From Season 1, Episode 18 'Soul Club' - The Partridges and Ruben are in Detroit for a performance. Due to a booking mix-up, they arrive at the place where the Temptations are expected. The audiences are totally different. The Partridges agree to perform and hope for the best.

No tattoos, no piercings and no cotton Candy hair. Results of a mother being around to spend time and raise her kids with love. Love the Partridge Family.
There was "cotton-candy hair" on high fashion runways at the time.
My kid's first unnatural colored dye-job was done by my own hand, a wonderful bonding experience that let them know that it was their hair and I wasn't going to pitch a fit over something so minor.
Hair is a fun way to play with identify and looks.
The "child" is 24 now, finishing college, doing brilliantly and has a partner who's just as awesome.
I always liked the Partridge Family a little more than the Brady Bunch. Partridge Family storylines were more authentic.
