This is an improv West Coast Swing competition. The dancers are randomly paired and have to improvise a dance on a random song. And yeah, this is a lot of fun! 😊
Ken is a very good student and knows where he needs to catch and counterbalance but here he looks busy trying to be everywhere he needs to be for her tricks . She looks like work. I like it when I have watched him actually dancing and in the moment rather than chasing to get in front of the moment so she can TA DA.
Yes. She takes off, and he has to give chase and be there for her. He still manages to charm when he repeats some of her moves; credit to KP that he found the time in all that busywork.
What happened to the lead leading ? I have seen that Nicole can dance. If can she collaborate with her partner? It’s always about her. Dance is a conversation - call and answer. Not just answer answer answer…
Да,немного напрягало,что она старалась"перетянуть одеяло на себя". Она как бы специально хотела его гнаться за ней,не давла ему проявить себя. От этого получился не ьанец двоих,а бенефис партнёрши. Это,если честно,совершенно ей не в плюс. Даже досадно было - всё время следишь за партнёром,а он скован бесконечными поддержками... Может,партнёрша хорошо танцует...но суетливо.
Sorry but I disagree the leader leads by different hand pressures etc. He is one that is not scared to dance as well. I've seen Nucole dance with him before & they dance well together. The 1st song was terrible to dance to the best of it was made. They both had fun and cane 2nd so obviously the judges saw something that you did not see.
They each have their own moves. They know each other's strengths. Her walking away, to get him to follow, was part of that song sequence. It did not detract from how much they (& the audience) enjoyed the performance.
