- We now have the ALPAKA Zip Card Pouch. It seems like everyone is releasing a zipper based cardholder wallet including Aer and Peak Design. I do like that it has an external pocket in addition to the usually roominess you find on the interior, but it did show a bit of laziness in the design. It comes down to a design ethos, less is more or a bit more actually makes it better. Regardless, it's great gear we look at in this review! #walletreview #edcgear #review #walletopia #alpakagear

Honestly, I think the zipper should unzip the opposite way, that way I wouldn't have to open the whole thing, to maybe pull one card out. Especially if it's attached to a belt.

I moved on to the Bellroy Mini Folio and even though it's expensive I've stuck with it for some time and it's okay

I like this as a travel wallet where a person can stuff cards, bills and coins in them, and the durability of the nylon is a plus. Are there other brands that have something similar that are on par or better? Having a internal waterproof liner inside the zipper probably would have been good, and maybe multi-card slots on each side inside would have been a nice touch.
This resembles a lot to the bellroy pocket

Quality is better, but really it reminds me of $5 camera cases/pouch I could buy 15 years ago. Maybe even 100 yen from Daiso. I can't quite imagine who would need a product like this nor how one would use it. Certainly not as a wallet or card holder. Maybe some sort of hipster locksmith? I like the orange. But also as a wallet I don't want to draw attention, I enjoy it in a messenger bag, or techbag. And if your car breaks down you can turn the pouch inside out and warn other drivers.
I could definitely use it, and it looks like a perfect wallet for me.

How will it fair compared to a bellroy card pocket or bellroy all conditions card pocket???
Bellroy all conditions card pocket is great, especially the design. The only thing that bothers me is the feel of the zipper, it's a bit rough, even though it's water-resistant. The regular bellroy card pocket is perfect. Even though they changed from YKK zipper to OOK zipper, the new zipper feels smoother, in my opinion. I haven't tried the alpaka one yet.
Needs a hypalon divider down the middle of the big cavern. Cudos on the orange.
Alpaka looks like taking some inspiration from bellroy….
I think it's too big, no reason to have a 12 cm card holder when you can keep them in less than 10.

I bought this on an impulse buy. I have to say that this was a huge disappointment. It did nothing good and the design was just lazy, poorly executed, and took about 2 weeks to get to me. Not the first time, I feel like they are overrated and release too many products too frequently without proper research, development, and testing.
It's hideous. lol. If I'm gonna rock a massive green brick with orange highlights and zippers...it's my Porter Tanker.
