This is all from a website : Lamaze, 42, said he heard a crack and felt pain upon landing after the 'c' element of the triple combination on Sunday. Lamaze and his Olympic gold medal partner, Hickstead, went on to complete two clean rounds before advancing to the jump-off where they again jumped clear in the fastest time to win the €350,000 Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen over Switzerland's Pius Schwizer. copyright not intended
@avaadore77 If I remember correctly it was in the second jump of the combination at 0:55. Don't quote me on that as it could have been the first fence, but I am 100% sure it was somewhere in that combination.
@55555gino Even though you don't like his style.. many people don't.. he's still the number one rider in the world right now! :P haha. He is legit ranked #1. GO CANADA
Hear Hickstead "grunt" on take-off ? That's him Trying his Heart out. And he died of a Heart-attack. Umm. Over jumped a super star. Don't think International owners and riders know everything. Care comes from The Heart. Not many have a Caring Heart as big as the late great Hickstead's. The blood in him. Thoroughbred. Tens of thousands of jumping bred horses have to be foaled to find the next under gradutate to Hickstead. They didn't know what they had.
Echt doof das er wegen einer Überlastung sterben musste.😲 Seine Hauptschlagader ist geplatzt wegen der Überlastung.da das Blut nicht schnell genug fließen konnte.😌
Makes my heart beat fast everytime I watch this horse do his thing :)
R.I.P Hickstead, you wont be forgotten.
Er war eine Legende..
This rider-horse combination is probably the greatest show-jumping team of all time.

Does anyone know at what point on the course Eric broke his foot? What an amazing round but, holy heck, he must have been in so much pain!
I think it was when he landed after the double
whenever I watch him on that horse, I'm always about 10 times more nervous for some reason . . .
does anyone knows where we can watch the 2 rounds that they had before this jump off? if yes let me know, thanks!
Hickstead. ❤
IMPRESIONANTEEEE!!!!
WOW! How high is that??
R.I.P.
Is it just me or do the Aachen Grand Prix jumps always seem much bigger than the other Grand Prix?
Mamma mia!!!!!!🏆
@LTGirl21 Thanks!
