Those interested in reading a Japanese pilot's account of the attack on PH should read 'The Miraculous Torpedo Squadron', the autobiography of Juzo Mori. Only recently translated into English, Mori goes into great detail about how the pilots trained for the attack in Japan, the trip to Hawaii, how the torpedo bombers almost didn't launch, his role in the attack, and much more. Included are his accounts of life in pre-war Japan, training to become an IJN pilot, flying in China, and his roles in the attacks on Wake, Midway and Guadalcanal. This is a must read for students of the Pacific War.
When I was a teenager, my Dad dated a lady who had been a little girl living in base housing at Wheeler Field during the attack. Base housing was strafed. Her 11 year old brother was sitting on the toilet, and machine gun bullets went across the floor at his feet. He then ran outside to see the planes until his mother called him back in.

I knew Ken Taylor and got a chance to hear the story first hand.
16:54. Why have I never seen this photo before? How is this not in every book or site about the attack? Is this too good to be true?
