Welcome to the game! Please ease into it! I’ve seen too many people start out playing a precon against a friends deck who’s been playing for awhile and get steam rolled. They then say “oh well I have to go get the best everything and spend $700 on this deck just to hang”. That’s so not true though. Be patient learn the game and how your cards play before upgrading too much. Glad to see your excitement and enthusiasm! Happy gaming bro.
Welcome welcome, id definitely recommend you learn to pilot your deck efficiently and upgrade as needed. This will give you a good understanding on how to play commander. Then the stars the limits. I started on upgrading precons and now am addicted to building original decks lol. Hope you learn to love the game even more!
Nice, man! Really good first choice for a precon - I'm probably alone here - but I've been collecting for 4 years and never played a game (serious anxiety) but still dig on the art, variants, reserved, - all of it - enjoy!
You got the spirit, and it's awesome to see. Commander is rad because it is friendly and social. If you enjoy blue-black, the Revenant Recon deck has some of the best reanimate (pull stuff from the graveyard) cards baked in. Sometimes a precon has huge value like that, usually singles are cheapest. Foundations is really the core stuff, and there's way less to get tripped up on rules-wise. I often stick to black-blue-white in some combination myself. I went and built several super cheap decks to experiment and figure out what I liked most, but borrowing things or precons is a great way to give something a spin. I hope the best for your journey!
Oh this is awesome thanks for the heads up!!! I think one aspect I like is the huge monsters in the green and I like the play style of the red aggression! But excited to check out and play how my current pirate commander deck does and is all about.
It's so cool to see you genuinely so happy and excited about this new journey! I love MTG, and it's a biiiig part of my life. I wish I could just sit down and play some games with you just because of your excitement! I wanna just splurge info out and blah blah blah, haha, but I wish you well on your journey, and please feel free to reach out with any questions! I've played for 20 years, and there's always something new and exciting!
I just started like 4 weeks ago and my wallet is hating me for it. I bought a few precons but ultimately settled for Vampire themed deck with white, red, black and with Edgar Markov as my commander and it gave me my first win in a group of 6 experienced players. So with only 3 weeks into the game I am really enjoying the social/community aspect of the game and i really love this vampire deck so much.
Making videos about your magic journey could be interesting. Especially for new players. But they have to be short and full of information for new players to be interesting enough for them to watch it. Just a wild guess.

@@tabletopvibes Pirates rule! Love it.
Might I suggest Spelljack and Walk the Plank for flavor wins?
Oooo are these cards ?? I will definitely pick em up ! I love pirates 🏴☠️
Its best to pick one deck and over time buy singles to upgrade your deck.
Oh that’s a great idea! Thank you
