We are a diverse country with many religions and big history. Stop publicly portraing us as middle aged arabs which isnt true, we're culturaly more like traditional italians than anything else. When she speaks Albanian, her accent shifts like most bilingual people but I believe that native speakers in Kosovo can definitely tell she didn’t grow up there. I’m Albanian and my dad is from Kosovo but I was born and raised in the states. I learned Albanian from my family, but my family back in Kosovo definitely can pick out someone who didn’t grow up there regardless of how well they speak the language
Every word she is saying in Albanian is right on point. The difference comes when she mixes English and Albanian together. Some people from South of Albania( not all), find it hard her Northern accent, but for me (a NorthEastern Albanian) is just a normal way of speaking Albanian as I understand every "nook and cranny" of all Albanian dialects from North to South, East and West.

Basically by mentioning Albania and Islam in one sentence she is removing all the positivity that Dua is spreading about our country. If you want to mention Religion than fucking say that we have many religions, Catholics Orthodox and Islam. And albanias national hero protected the west from ottomans for many years and even got a special title by the Pope. This for example puts us in a good light. Saying that you're proud muslim out of nowhere and without any context will make all serbians happy, cuz they want the west to hate us. Just think logically for a fucking second, it shouldnt be that hard to understand.

Who are you lying to? Secular Islam as it has survived in Albania, Kosovo and Bosnia is something you Albanians should be proud of. Dua Lipa is also a Muslim, she just doesn't practice the religion.

I have the same question.
When she speaks Albanian, her accent shifts like most bilingual people but I believe that native speakers in Kosovo can definitely tell she didn’t grow up there. I’m Albanian and my dad is from Kosovo but I was born and raised in the states. I learned Albanian from my family, but my family back in Kosovo definitely can pick out someone who didn’t grow up there regardless of how well they speak the language
No actually, her albanian is really good for someone that does not live in kosovo, this is basically how we who live in kosovo speak
Every word she is saying in Albanian is right on point. The difference comes when she mixes English and Albanian together.
Some people from South of Albania( not all), find it hard her Northern accent, but for me (a NorthEastern Albanian) is just a normal way of speaking Albanian as I understand every "nook and cranny" of all Albanian dialects from North to South, East and West.
