For me as local boy, Nasi Kandar Kampung Melayu is the best of the best. Mee Goreng Sotong Bangkok lane same as mee goreng kelawei road.. At Georgetown also you must try Samosa at king street a.k.a. little india..

Hey Greg and Jumi!! So great to see you guys and we LOVE Roti... but it's cool to see Roti Canai. That's awesome you guys are back to this place you were at before and you looked so excited to be there eating it. We would love the chicken in that dish!! It looks so flavorful. The second place is cool to see too. So nice of the server to explain you eat it all together. The curry at this place looks gorgeous. We also like the roti canai and the egg on it!! That yolk has to add a bit of creaminess.. YUM!! Love the review and that you liked the last place the best. Thanks for taking us iwth you and lots of love to you guys and safe travels!! :)
It's too bad the Transfer road roti isn't as good as what you guys had 3 years back, glad that Gemas Road made up for it, and you guys have another favourite spot now! Thanks for recommending, we will need to go back to Penang and try this one out!
Yeah it was a shame. Even seeing photos before going it looked different, but had to go back after our amazing experience in 2017. That’s the great thing about doing comparisons like this - you really get to see which one you like. We think you guys will really like Gemas!
Aahhh Roti canai... When you think of breakfast, you think of Roti canai... Enjoying it while sipping your teh tarik and watching cars, and motorbikes and people passing by... The best way to start your day...
They look different like if they were different dishes Thank you so much for your honest review, it's not about being negative but being honest, and we all appreciate and love you for that
It became more obvious of how the first place was disappointing after having the other 2 that were delicious. You can really taste the difference. Thank you!
Roti Canai looks so good. I want the one with the egg. These vs. series is a great concept!!!! Anything charred sounds so good. I would prefer it separated also.
Santos Chronicles Thank you! Thought it was a fun way to make the video, especially when one is very famous especially with food bloggers and vloggers.
All roti spots looked good, the second spot looked pretty interesting with the egg inside the roti. And the last spot, I can see from Greg's reaction, it must be the bomb.
@@FoodandFootprints U said it absolutely right. For breakfast I prefer a simple roti canai n masala chai, n for lunch or dinner, roti canai with curry meat dishes. Yum, yummy.
This was our favorite dish from the Malaysian dishes we tried. And it's so cool that there are so many varieties. That piece of chicken on that first one... Ufff.
Roti tampal banjir (roti canai flooded with curry and fried egg on top) will never go wrong...makes me to eat more with teh tarik halia...ahhh...I'm hungry now

Roti Canai is soooo good! One of favorite breakfast dishes, and fairly lucky that there are surprisingly a lot of places in London that have it. All of these places look really awesome, the gemas road one looked really interesting!
The roti canai with the egg on top is THE perfect brunch. The sauce is so thick! Whoa. I think it would be our favorite one too. It's important to be honest, especially with your followers.
I think Gemas Road is probably my favorite as well.. just by presentation and the egg hehe.. too bad the more famous spot isn't as good.. would still try it though..
Ok Roti Canai Jalan Argyll was my last time I had roti there a few years. I shared this video with my Penang friends. According to my buddies there, Tiger2my and Latok, this is the BEST in Penang. I had beef curry too (that I don't see in KL).

Sounds wonderful! Can imagine there are lots of great spots around the island outside of Georgetown. Unfortunately we didn’t get to explore as much as we wanted outside of Georgetown/Air Itam/Pulau Tikus, but would love to next time. We are now in beautiful Tioman Island and found a great place for roti canai that also makes their teh halia with pieces of fresh ginger
It's always hard to live up to the hype in your head from a few years back on food, totally get that, but that chicken still looked good with the roti.
We had a feeling it wouldn’t be as good after seeing recent photos where it looked clearly different. Only became more obvious after eating the last two spots and seeing how good they were
Just a recommendation if you ever go for roti canai next time where ever you are in Malaysia. Try eating roti canai with fish curry instead of chicken curry or dhal & sambal mixed or curry & sambal mixed. And as a slight variation to roti telur, try asking if they can make roti tampal instead.
Oohh we love roti canai telur 😍 I think we agree with Jumi in this case, we want to appreciate how good the roti is so no banjir is actually good too. We want to dip the roti to the curry by ourselves to control the “banjir-ness” haha
Transfer Road chicken curry drumstick and thigh portion looks nice but thanks for highlight it was more tomato base and lack aromatic spices ,cumin and watery gravy..not ideal for me.. Roti banjir should taste better with fork and spoon, if separated would sure taste better eating with fingers.. The curry chicken at Jalan Argyll sounded very delicious and the roti canai kosong looks big and round and texture soft and fluffy easily foldable and less crispy so no crispy bits falling off..like enjoying nice Arabic bread.. Love the look of the portion of lamb ..looks so tender and perfect cut..aahhh the runny egg yolk with roti canai.. amazing..the whole meal would had tasted even better if the cheese was melted into the roti canai.. Teh tarik to wash down..or even better if they do have teh tarik with real ginger added.. Love the ending summary and shots..
Shame that it went downhill versus 3 years ago when it was a revelation. Such rich flavors then. Now they just plopped down the plate without even asking. Maybe it became too popular? Jalan Argyll was wonderful. Roti was great and so was the curry. Definitely worth visiting in Penang. The lamb was wonderful at Gemas Rd.
