Watching the pelican close it's ramp and take off with me standing there in the cut scene not 2 feet from it will always kill me.... I have samples 😭
Dive! Cover the distance you couldn't even walk with a dive! Dive through the bushes to prevent slowdown! Dive through the throng of berserkers blocking your path to the dropship! Dive ahead of a grenade to catapult yourself, but be careful to judge the distance correctly!

PSA: If Pelican-1 takes too much damage upon landing (due to enemy fire, wayward stratagems etc) he will take off the moment ONE helldiver is onboard.
If the bird is smoking, pile your samples on to one of you and the rest sell your lives dearly

I recently made it on 2 seconds after the time expired with all the supers. It was literally taking off when I got on and I had to run across the entire map

Acceptable at lower levels, but we simply don’t have the time at 7-9.
This drives me insane on 7-9! I'm going into the mission ready to Sam Fisher my way into the various objectives, then at least one if not the rest of the squad goes off like Danny Devito blasting everything in sight. 🤦🏻♂️
I'll just peel off a healthy distance from them and hit the stuff nearby that I can safely take, and usually end up spotting the super sample rock in the process, so I spend the rest of the mission keeping those safe.
@@Sp4rt4nSl4ya dude, stealth is near impossible now, though. I'll try to sneak and distract and they almost always "patrol" right up my ass every time. It's either fight or have them flank me trying to take on a base
@@balzaak4803 I generally don't have this issue. Sure I'll have patrols spawn in that are headed right for me but I just move out the way or something and they pass me by. Checking the map is largely why I succeed at stealth in most cases as it lets me know where everything is and if they're moving. Data uploads are the best objective for stealth since the stations you grab the SSSD from is pretty much always empty aside from the small groups guarding the perimeter, but you can just sneak past them easy. And the site you deliver to can generally be easily snuck into despite being occupied by bots.

My squad literally agreed to risk not extracting to grab the super samples we dropped all the way across with a swarm of bots on the way. No need to say, we died on the extraction after grabbing the samples bcs 10 drop ships right on our faces 😢
Supers are unironically the least rare lmao
@SinfullyHera theve always been the hardest to find for me. Only find 3 on Suicide, 4 on Impossible, and 5 on Helldiver.
This is so real. On a particularly terrible bot mission, my team dropped right next to both a fab. Camp with mortars, and a gunship fab. Bot drops were plentiful. We lost nearly all of our reinforcements just trying to get out of that situation. By time we clawed our way through, the battlefield looked like the surface of our moon. It was awful. The rest of the mission consisted of barely making it through the mission, watching the time slowly tick town as we tried to transport both SSSDs. We kept losing men, and had to wait the two minutes just for another helldiver. We barely raised that tower and delivered the SSSDs. Time ran out, and extraction began, but we were too far away. There’s no way we could make it in time. But we won, and I got those medals.
I've been in situations like those and far too often I find people don't know when to run. That kind of insertion you just run until you lose the heat, yet I'll see people try to sit there and fight it all at once like they're superman.
@@Sp4rt4nSl4ya dude we tried, but we literally couldn’t, that was the problem. We were sitting right on the SSSD station, so we had to grab it, but we couldn’t get it out of there, so we had to win the fight in order to move on
@@switchprocontrollersplatoo7240 I see, you dropped right on the objective. That makes it hard to scoot out of there then. I don't think I've ever seen an objective drop without needing multiple reinforcements because nobody has their supports and they immediately try calling it in, the enemies are all around you, and they begin firing right out the pods. It's just a bad situation in general, add in the mortars, gunships, and having to do the terminal, I can imagine the horror.
At least you there wasnt a jammer in your vicinity would have made it even worse

literally me and my homie, he was the last guy alive , the ship landed and he had the super samples, but betwean him and the ship was the entire swarm.... no one made it home....

This is how I feel when the shuttle takes off without the squad
This was exactly me and some other divers when the ship was glitched and we couldn’t extract. We would walk in the back and get in and walk around but it didn’t actually sit us in the ship, so we just held out for 8 mins until we ran out if reinforces and hugged as we called one last orbital on our position.
When you had all the super samples and die on right as you were the last one to get into the shuttle
I always say this at the final moment. I look at my friends and say, "Well, we spreaded democracy. Now we die here on the planet" and watch as 5 factory striders drop on us
I recently had a glitch on a bot mission where the pelican was stuck in the ground. We fought off waves with our limited munitions until we were fully abandoned as we got overun while zooming out.
Mine ragdolled into the ground on bots, no survivors.
4 Hero's now MIA... Remember Creek... and those brave souls on Hellmire.

Me and a german buddy were just 10 seconds away from the ship (i was actually 30 seconds away). It left us on the automatons planet, we killed everything there was and got left there

@@Puppy_PuppingtonNope. When superdestroyer leaves low orbit - connection to it's supercomputers for stratagem gets terminated due to distance. You can't input any command on your tablet anymore.
It's just Pelican is on standby for entire mission, ready to descend for you trough atmosphere.
When you complete the mission, get to extraction, but all of you die and lose the samples:
Ammo's dwindling and the others are dead or gone....this may be the last you'll hear of me....but if you find my corpse I know what you'll see

Last night had a very intense battle against the robots on challenging difficulty we cleared the map and I was the last alive being chased to the drop ship since one of my teammates called it in before he died and right when I got there I threw down the reinforcements stratagem and as I waited for them I continued to defend them as they got into the ship then right before I made it I got sniped by a rocket right outside the door I died but at least they made it
I keep telling my friends they should have a bonus mission. If we’re all left on planet just survive the waves and see how long you last like a certain death.
At that point, you stand your ground till the bitter end.

Had this yesterday. Those CLANKER b*stards dropped 3 Factory Striders on extraction after our Super Destroyers left orbit. I cannot tell you the sheer dread we felt when we saw the dropships coming with the striders. We just ran. To this day, there's still 3 Helldivers stuck on that planet surviving.

Had this happen once. Though the objective wasn't complete.. Told them to run and I'd launch the nuke. They managed to escape while stayed on the creek, firing every auto cannon round I had into every bot around me

A4, D2, start policing ammo, grenades, and stims, P3 come along, we're gonna grab up some extra support gear and start moving west, see if we can't link up with another op squad. Keep a lookout Brothers, this will be a long march and we've only each other, conserve ammo where you can but stims are
Honestly that would be cool if you could link up with other squads by walking beyond the map if you fail to extract

Last guy standing. Reinforcements exhausted. running around waiting 2 minutes for Pelican 1 while the angriest most bloodthirsty horde of automatons was looking for me.
Everyone else dead.
I actually felt sad for my Helldiver. Alone on a strange planet, covered in blood.

When you join a lobby and they have 2 objectives left with 5minutes to go.
When you are out of time, shuttle is about to land on its own, and as you are aproaching LZ, you see the entire swarm humping that extraction beacon
All helldivers will be remembered for the sacrifice they gave for democracy

I have seen some truly cinematic moments when everything went to hell.
This was me when I called the pelican early, died and then it left and we all just stood there unable to extract.

I literally did the same thing one game. It was just 2 of us heading for extraction, but he was getting shot by a tank. I said in chat this is our home now, and used my spear to kill the tank and go save him as pelican flew away.
It really be like this as your watching 4 bike titans, 10 bike spewers, 5 chargers and a bunch of the canon fodder bugs swarm the LZ and the drop ship still has like 40 seconds lol. I love this game and its community so much.

We were fighting bots and the extraction glitched so none of us could get on it so we kept on fighting till the timer hit zero to watch our ship leave. But damn sometimes it's a one way trip

Stealth is immportant at higher levels i always say *"Fight the fights that matter and don't get sucked into the chaos. The mission is what matters never lose sight of it!*

I was the sole survivor during an extraction. Cheeks clenched, no stims left, and being Chased around and around by two chargers while waiting for the pelican to land. When it finally did, well, that's when the firetornadoes touched down ON THE LANDING PAD. I grabbed hold of my balls and dove through the flames and made it out. My entire squad was dead, but their lives bought liberty one more day.
