I Don't Have Periods? Taking Clomid at 20?

- Following our pregnancy announcement (linked below) I thought it was time to finally post a video that I had filmed back in December 2017 detailing my entire problematic periods story from start to finish, I hadn't posted in previously because 1) I was WAY too nervous 2) I then found out I was pregnant and felt guilty talking about 'infertility' after I'd managed to conceive following just one course of clomid 3) time got in the way of everything..
The past five years dealing with this issue have been some of the hardest and not having a network of other women to talk to who we're experiencing a similar thing made it all the more hard. So I wanted to pluck up the courage to share this video in the hope that it helps another person out there struggling also, even if this just makes one person feel a little less alone or educates somebody in the same position at a young age then it will have served its purpose.

Hey girl! Thanks for sharing this video. I'm also 20 years old and I don't ovulate either. It's so nice to know that there are people out there that understand! My husband and I are going to go on clomid in about a month and we're really hoping we can conceive that way :)

I’m 21 and so scared to tell my doctor I want to try clomid! Only because I am young. ): what if she says no or judges me because I’m young. I want to have a baby so bad, I am ready and have always wanted to be a mom. Any advice?

Omg thanks for making this video, I'm 18 Turing 19 soon I haven't even had a period for 4 years and I went for testing etc. Even for pcos etc. I was told by two doctors that everything looks normal and I've been trying everything!!! To get a period.... I just want a period that's all.

I'm so glad I found this video I am 25 years old and I have only get periods spasmodically and I do not ovulate I have just started seeing a fertility doctor and I have been told I have PCOS and I am missing my left ovary and I have just done my second round of clomid+
It's so nice to be able to relate to somebody and have someone that has experienced the same thing as yourself
I’m 20 and ttc and I have the same problems with infertility. I’m on my 2nd round of clomid 100mg so hopefully this month we get pregnant.🙁🤞🏼

Hey I am also on Clomid but on round # 4. On 200mg. I was wondering if you ovulate on Clomid or if you do but just don’t end up pregnant?
Just wanted to say Congratulations and how much happy i am for you.. iv only just came across your videos while i was searching about PCOS.. i was diagnosed with PCOS when i was 18 and am 24 now and now am ready to TTC .. my PCOS is exactly like yours i dont have the syndrome and i have a period once every 1 to 3 years .. i was soooo scared and worried about the thought of not been able to have a baby seen your video have gave me hope and have lifted me up.. thank you so much and please do keep vlogging and update us xx

I wish you the best of luck in your journey TTC, my doctor gave me clomid and it worked first time which was just unbelievable, I would highly recommend getting on that if possible! Lots of love xx
Am not having periods but am taking clomid now I started yesterday, my problem now is I don't have ovulation tracker and I don't know when to have sex to get pregnant

You story is very very similar to mine. I’m 33 now but had periods in year 9 then stoped and still till this day don’t have them unless I have medicine. I also have PCOS with the syndrome It’s so very very sad. I know know exactly what your saying / feeling. Love your channe

It’s so frustrating how professionals just brush us aside because we are so “young.” I’m 23 and married.. having infertility struggles. You know somethings wrong and no one will take your instincts into consideration. I finally found a doctor who is somewhat taking me seriously. My next step is clomid. I pray my body responds like yours did.

I completely agree. I’m 22. I have a feeling I am bc of some issues I’ve had with my health and when I asked my doctor about 2 years ago I felt judged by her for asking. Now I’m afraid to ask again.

Just keep going back that’s what I did and re express your concerns. I’ve been finally put on clomid
20 years old as well and got diagnosed with PCOS. Taking Provera now.
I waited 4 years for something to actually be done. I didn’t have a period for 3-4 years. I was then given provera to induce my periods and now I find out my AMH level is low for my age 😢.. I purchased clomid online because the dr's are taking forever to do something . If clomid doesn’t work this cycle, I’m going to go private.

I am 41 years old and I was 24 before I had my period and that was only with birth control. Anytime I have not been on birth control I don't have one. I was told I couldn't have children and have not been able to. My specialist thinks it's my hypothylmus not telling my pituitary gland to produce the hormones it needs. They think that is what causes my hypothyroidism. The hypothylmus controls your whole endocrine system. It was very hard on me when I was younger. I wanted a child. Now I am older. You are the only person I have been somewhat able to relate to. Good luck in your endeavor. They have newer things out now then when I was younger. I even saw a fertility doctor and told there was nothing they could do. That was about 15 years ago. You have a wonderful day. Stephanie

i m ttc for 4 years and i have a 4 year old through ivf we was trying on our own nothing happening.
Then I had work up with Endrocriology had blood test my pro lactin was over 330 now it 317 and my periods not always coming.
i use to have beginning of each month and at the end of the month and My gp refused to refer me to gyno and i then got referred to private gyno which i had scan and i had baseline test and now put on clomid.
So i m starting this after my next cycle.

I know this is an old video, but my story is IDENTICAL in most ways , I had my first cycle at 16, and my mother thought it was bizarre because she started hers at around 10 , well fast forward to 17 I still hadn’t had a second one, and so I got diagnosed with PCOS even though I was a healthy weight, no acne, and no excess hair, so I went on the pill for 6 months, and had HORRIBLE side effects, (extreme dizziness , fatigue, nausea, vomiting , mood swings, heavy heavy periods, acne , terrible migraines , pretty much anything you can think of.) well I had to come off of it after 6 months because there’s a risk for a brain disorder if you have chronic migraines while taking the pill , which I got diagnosed with. So I haven’t had a period since I came off the pill at around 17 and a half , but every 4 months or so my doctor has me take provera , which is a artificial hormone drug that makes you shed your lining. Now I am 20 and married and wanting a baby so badly , we’ve been kind of trying for about 16 months. I started clomid last month but it hasn’t made me ovulate.

I understand I also only have like 3 to 4 periods a year and in my 20's and I don't have PCOS. I didn't have a period till I was in 11th grade and mine was 6 months till I had another. Then when I was 20 I had an accident where I needed to get a scan and I had a few cycts on my ovaries but nothing to say I had PCOS was put on the pill didn't like it either and here we go ttc. And starting clomid soon. Hoping it works

I have PCOS and a thyroid problem I got pregnant and didn’t know it I lost it at 3 months pregnant a healthy baby girl I went to the obgyn she won’t help us so I am seeing another one in a week I am ordering the meds for clomid I just found out that I do not have cyst on my ovaries or eggs I get my answer next week to why am I not releasing any eggs but the one obgyn is I had is a liar so wish me good luck
I just got my blood results back and everything is normal i have a slightly abnormal pap smear so they don't know why im not ovulating I have always had irregular periods and am on provera and will be trying clomid in July. If i get a period in two weeks. So i relate hard to your story.
I have the same problem I don't have period in less indussed by hormones me and my boyfriend have been trying for the last two year I got pregnant about a year and half ago without a period but had a miscarriage it was heart breaking

Hi there-so I think were in a similar situation.did you get periods on birth control?so my story i got my period around 11 and that was the only one i ever got.then i was put on birth control at 14 because i never got a period on my own again.then me and husband wanted to be TTC.about 7 months ago I stopped bc.no period.took provera for a bleed .which worked.then went to my obgyn was told I have pdoc and secondary annomanoreah.i do have more symptoms of pcos.hairs on chin,acne,over weight.now I am waiting to hear from my doctor again this week to see if I can be on metformin and possibly clomid.let me know how your journey is going.i still dont have a period or ovulating.

Hi. I have some questions. When you took the clomid pills for pregnancy did you take it three days after period? Or did you take clomid with no periods? Because i was prescribed clomid but my period still has not come. Do you think it it is okay to take it with no period? Did you take yours with no period?
Hi thank you for sharing your story i was diagnose with PCOS i do have a period about 3-4 times a year . But my question is im 36 yrs old now i started clomid 4 days ago tommorrow woul be my fifth day when should i start to now if its working or not
I'm going through clomid rn. I was instructed that on the first day of my period that's cycle day 1 and then on cycle day 3 i take the clomid for 5 days after that . Cycle day 10-20 use an ovulation test daily till you get the positive ovulation test, it can be anywhere from cycle day 12-19. Good luck! I hope this helps.

Yes it was, the smallest dose and I conceived twins on the first cycle!!! The fertility drug sent my body into overdrive having not ovulated in so many years so I ended up overstimulating and producing multiple eggs x
Demislife x im 21. Just had a laproscopy both tubes were blocked now one is unblocked and i started clomid and other vitamins and herbs

Hi, my gynaecologist today me to take it in the first day of the month as I didn’t have a period to go off. It’s best to speak to a specialist before taking any kind of fertility drug x

So your gynae gave you clomid to see if your periods would come back? That is not what happens at all. I have pcos and was diagnosed 18 years old. I was given pills to encourage my periods. Not a fertility drug! Also a high LH typically means your ovulate. I’ve now been given clomid as we have trouble conceiving. You must have told him you wanted a baby for this to be given
Alison Woolley Not at all, since all investigations had been done into getting my periods to kick in and nothing had worked the investigation moved on to seeing if I could be made to ovulate, as said in the video. I was given the contraceptive pills, again as I said in the video but none of them suited my body and I didn’t like the person I was when I took them. I was given clomid to see if it would make me ovulate (I would know this as I would have a period obviously), if this did happen then it would be a fertility option in the future. If it didn’t work, I would know where I stood and begin saving for IVF. Not that difficult to understand really. Every gynae is different and mine had been a specialist gynae for 40 years so I believe he knew what he was doing. Also, a high LH is directly linked to infertility and PCOS so confused as to where to have that info from. Good luck with clomid!🤞🏻
