Hi, just checking whether I'm understanding what ManyCam might do for my art classes, which are done through Zoom. If participants (students) have ManyCam and two cameras, one aimed at their face and the other aimed at their drawing board, they can do Picture-in-Picture so that I, the host/instructor, will see a screenful of their drawing board and also a small inset showing them talking? I hope this makes sense. If it can work that way, it would be a huge improvement over what we have now. (It's too bad that the Zoom host cannot expand the view of an individual student, as if he/she were walking around the classroom looking over each student's work in turn. That would be a great Zoom feature. "View Who's Talking" is useless.)

Can I bring up a page of a PDF on screen and share it? The real question here is just how clear is the projected PDF through Zoom. Zoom PDF screen shares are extremely clear, does Manycam match this? Unfortunately the trial version does not let one try this out. Actually the trial version is so limited that it is near impossible to really evaluate the programme.
Hi Michael, thanks for reaching out. Yes, you can add PDF as a video source. The quality will depend on the PDF itself and your resolution, as well as Zoom, if there's any compression. You should be able to add PDFs with the free version and connect it to Zoom. That APK is wrong with Android 12, they do not update or improve it and lately the audio fails after 10 to 12 minutes, do you know the reasons or what should be done to maintain a decent transmission? It doesn't grab all the groups either, the ones that interest me and are mine to transmit aren't in the options, help. doesn't respond either. And they want everything translated into English.

I have a question about playlists - I'm running a virtual summit with several sessions a day ( starting next Tuesday, so no pressure) . Each session consists of playing the audience a video recording, a short break and then a live QnA. I am screen sharing Manycam through Zoom and my playlist seems to work well up to a point ! At the end of the recorded video, it moves on to the slide for the break. The slide has a countdown timer running and at the end of the countdown, I'd like Manycam to stop or close and allow the live Zoom session to carry on with the conference host and speaker fielding questions. I'll use Zoom recording to record all three, edit out the break and then put them all in the virtual summit for the audience to review over the next year. But right now, at the end of the playlist, Manycam is starting again - can I add a suicide capsule for Manycam to the end of the playlist ? or at least something to return the audience to the Zoom meeting ?
Hey James, At this time this isn't possible with ManyCam but it is a good idea! Just for clarification though, you would like ManyCam, or the virtual webcam driver to stop outputting when the playlist ends right?
Thanks for the answe, so often nobody bothers to monitor comments!! You've almost got what I want. I would like to be able to select an option for the playlist to finish and at least minimise the app or return to the desktop or webinar where it was initated.

Would I have to SPOTLIGHT the presenter's window on Zoom then quickly go back to ManyCam and turn their Lwr3rd I created for them?

While TH-cam video is playing there is no audio coming out from zoom? Is it a setting that was not setup right? Oh yeah. Also in zoom we can't pull a ndi out on the zoom attendees? Only on ndi supported programme such as Skype?

On Zoom, next to the Video settings at the bottom of the meeting window, you can set up your audio. Click on the arrow next to the mic and select ManyCam among the options. the timer could be used to let people know when you will be starting .. example in 10 minutes ... it all count down to zero ... it would be nice if one could take the hour.. so instead of: 00 : 00 : 00 ... it would be: 00 : 00 just to show the minutes ... just an idea 💡

Hot keys don't work. Can't toggle through PNG playlist with the hot key I set. Super frustrating.

I got to manycam because I thought it would help with screensharing(low fps on a game my friends and I were playing) How does Manycam help with that?

the timer could be used to let people know when you will be starting .. example in 10 minutes ... it all count down to zero ... it would be nice if one could take the hour.. so instead of: 00 : 00 : 00 ... it would be: 00 : 00 just to show the minutes ... just an idea 💡

Is Skype the only live video source you can bring IN to ManyCam? I get that we can push it out to Zoom. What I really need to do is to bring multiple Zoom feeds IN to ManCam (does that make sense?) Thanks
Hi Rob, thanks for contacting us. Currently, you can bring in sources that are NDI® compatible, like Skype or Microsoft Teams. Zoom doesn't have that option yet, but it seems to be something they are planning to add.

Reason I ask is that having just tried it - when we take a Skype feed into ManyCam, it shows up the available NDI feeds and the Skype pops up. I can't see how that would happen remotely.

Hi, thanks for reaching out. The virtual backgrounds work best for video conferences due to how the tracking of the person in front of the camera works. You can still try it for your classes, but, unfortunately, it might not perform as well.
Is the NDI Feature only use for Skype calls?
Hi, NDI is a relatively recent technology, many apps are still adding it to their software. Microsoft teams already has it. It looks like many more will come. You can also use it as output: help.manycam.com/knowledge-base/ndi/

@@ManyCamOfficial To connect an actual camera (presuming it has HDMI output), would it work to use a quality capture card that converts HDMI to USB that then plugs into a computer's USB port? My thought is that actual camera would then have a way to be selected as if it were a webcam.

Hi, thanks for reaching out. Yes, it does! If you are on a Mac, there might be some restrictions on Teams/Skype's end. But, if you join the meeting on a browser like Chrome, you should be able to select ManyCam as your camera.
