I heard someone describe this man as “the barkeeper of our emotions”. The cups are all lined up behind him and he’s grown emotionally to the point that he can be very discerning about whom he gives these cups out to. He’s worked hard for them. He just doesn’t give them out freely to everyone.

You just made me realize the correlation between the 4 of cups and the 9 of cups (and even the ten of cups)! It’s very much of a mystery yet for me since I find the cups very deep and dynamic, personal and intimate to interpret. I associate the 4 of cups with visualization and the 9 of cups of manifestation. That in the 9th we see a person who has succeeded to manifest his desires through introspection and are some kind of master now, but still hiding (krossed armed and curtains) maybe his child hood dream (6 of cups) about the happy family (10 of cups) , which he is going to be able to approach as the knight of cups…! What do you think about this? :D Thank you for sharing really helpful and healing tarot knowlage!
