Thank you for that replanting sequence. I don’t feel like such an idiot now.

Going to try this again. My first try was before I discovered the wonders of iron. Its changed everything. BTW, My Corvus and Pantanal videos inspired Star grass..making a great 2" or so groundcover in the 240...takes a weekly shearing to keep it low. I take the tiny cuttings and replant to cover more and more.

I’ve tried this plant a few times. I buy the tallest ones available, but every single time the tall branches slowly thin out while sending lots of ground runners out. After months I’ll have a carpet but nothing taller than one or two leaves high. I’ll leave it to the pros.

I thought this was an epiphyte plant. I always have problems with it. I’ll give it another try.

I'd like to get a bonsai tree growing under water, do you have to keep the roots cut in order to keep the tree small?

I love this plant. How deep is your substrate? That was a lot of roots to shove underground!

Hahaha, I had the same with mine, replant, replant, replant... also a quite difficult spot behind a root.

I thought, obviously wrongly, that it was an epiphytic plant but I see that you planted it directly in the substrate too, so it can as well be attached to a support (rock, root) as to be planted, good namely since I just received the one I ordered 👍

Of two super land grown cuttings- I mean they came with near 4" leaflets, one cutting totally dissolved, the other is alive with three 2 inch narrow leaves. Not a single root has sprouted. I'm the guy who tries Co2 plants with no Co2. It's only inches below 2, 40 watt fluorescent and one 48" LED with 156LED's.. Maybe still not enough.

Holes might be a sign of potassium deficiency.

You have ridiculously low light on that aquarium for all the plants you seem to bother keeping.

I STILL don't see a root..but somehow its grown new leaves. I would say its lasted better than my first try with no iron in the water last summer. I dose iron and sometimes teency bits of land fertilizer. I warn,be very light on that...BGA will run if you overdose.

Love this plant but just dies every time I add to my tank.

I think it would be easier to replant by cutting off some overgrown roots.
