Snow Peak Style Camping in the Columbia River Gorge

- We spent two nights out camping in the Columbia Gorge and also brought along some new snow peak furniture to try out. We had a little rain the first afternoon, but the rest of the trip was 70 degrees and sunny! Checked out one of my favorite spots for wildflowers, Rowena Crest and hiked the trails in the area. I wish you had the Octa to review. I don't see much content on that one. Great video though, love the cozy rain. Also super curious to see the clean up process after making food! Nobody shows it!
Thanks for the suggestion on the Octa, I'll try to get one for review on here. I'll try to add in the dishwashing part as well. We've changed a lot since we started camping for dishwashing and right now it's not bad at all. Thanks again for watching, we appreciate your support!
Awesome video as usual! For making toast, not sure if you've heard of the Uniflame Mini Roaster. It is perfect for toast and bagels. It's really compact and light, about $30 on Amazon. Love the cooking videos!

How were the cots?
I have Helinox cots and they are narrow.
Thank you! I never would have thought this, but I think I'm a cot person now after trying it. I've taken the cot out on two trips and used it once without a pad and the other time with the Exped Dura 8R. I really like how much space you get underneath for gear storage as well as being able to use the cot as a seat when getting up in the morning or just hanging out in the tent for a bit. I think the SP cots are the same width at 26inches, unless you have the backpacking version by Helinox. The setup on the Snow peak cots is absolutely genius and I'm impressed every time I assemble it. I'll have a full review up on the cots soon here!
nice choice of the toast! Oyatsupan is the best! wondering comparing the snowpeak cot+ thin mattress vs. the inflatable mattress, which one you prefer?
Thanks, it’s our favorite! So far I’ve used the cots on its own without a mattress and with a Exped Dura 8r. I think it’s definitely better with a mattress, although if you like a firm feel you may not need one. I haven’t tried it with the MegaMat yet, mostly because I’ve been going on overnight trips and the Exped Dura 8r is quicker. For me as a back/combo sleeper, I’m happy with the Dura 8r, but for a side sleeper or someone who wants a more plush feel, I’d add an Exped Mega Mat.
