@tp_defense, another one huge difference between Rampage and Brahmos is the cost. Rampage cost in the range of few hundred thousands while Brahmos is 3.5 mil.
Even UK is looking into stocking up cheaper Rampage as they deplete thier expensive Storm Shadow missiles by giving it to Ukraine.
Also most of the western missiles like Jassm, Lrasm, Storm shadow, Naval Strike Missiles are moving away from Active radar guidance and using Terrain contour matching + Infrared Thermography + AI image processing for thier terminal guidance.
They anticipate missile jamming will be a big problem in the future warfare.

Rampage can be used only for static objects.the object can be taken recent times and it feed to the processor. It's a limitation.

i dont think its feasible to put IR image seeker in brahmos. because of the speed, there will be lot more heat generated. sensors may not withstand the heat.
Bro What if the enemy's used camaflauge or added some additional visual elements which makes it look different, Eg: Russia's Turtle Tank ( It looks completely different from the original tank, in this case the missile cannot recognise the tank )
You are correct that is possible. But not it is not easy as you never know which direction the missle would approach. Definitely adding different visual reference on the way to target and at the target is possible. But you cannot expect when the attack may happen. Also, they relay on the images sent by the satellite and intelligence gathered images that could be possibily just before the attack. It is hard for the immovable targets to escape.
@maniaravindan You are right indeed but there will be an attack if the situation has escalated, in that case the enemy will be prepared for any circumstances, so the enemy will defenitely try to hide their. strategically important assets using camaflauge. Do you really think our enemy's are dumb enough to station their missile systems or some other thing out in the open ? and another thing is satellite images are not that clear and there is no direct connection between the missile and satellite or command center, so the image in the missile will be the same as it was before launch
@@lovelydemon_2381 I get your point how the image guided missile work against camaflouged military installation. Yes, it is difficult for missiles like Rampage, Spice-2000 and Hammer in such cases. In that case other missiles like Brahmos will be considered. The right missile and warhead for the mission will be decided by the mission planners. Most common use case for these missiles are attacking buildings like in Balakot. Before using these missiles successrate would be analyzed and intelligence will be gathered about Target until last minute of the launch.

bro i suggest you to watch drdo scientist giving interviews they share many technical infromation on their projects like there was a time when ISRO chairman somnath Gave an interview to TH-cam channel Gareeb Scientist in which he shared many Techinal Information On lunar Lander not avaliable in internet. scientist by speaking about their projects for some extent will inspire people in research and development.
