For the gradient, did you already equipped presets of your own? This tutorial is not that suitable for Photoshop beginners but it's still great

9:06 how did you selected two layers? I don't know, how to do it.

hold Shift and click on multiple layer to select

@@Grapocean I don't know, what I am doing wrong. I use shift. Two layers are selected, ok. But the object is selected only on one layer. When I click on the other layer, the object will be changed. I can't choose different object on two layers like in your tutorial. You have background and wizard together selected.
