One all completed, you could measure out everyting and then sell the plans online.

The fact that it prints even though it's not yet complete is amazing. Great work !
I know nothing about Letterpresses but I'd guess that Alignement and Pressure are key though I suspect that the ink might have a say too (if it's too dry).
Top sheet should be oiled Tympan or Mylar, the Packing under should be mainly red press board and then thin paper to make up the final gap.
Yep, an arrangement like that is definitely the long term plan. I've got some problems with the platen I need to address first though.
