You need to creat a road maintanance agency within the city authority which maintains or check on the roads every night or weekend like other developed cities do. Otherwise road maintaince is a never ending job esp with climate like ours

but the one who was performing built roads that have turned into fish ponds and man made lakes in less than 5 years? Oba when do you people think?

@@powerhouseinco9664 which ones? Think before you talk otherwise you expose your ignorance. I think you're new in kampala. Think and reason properly then you get to know why we have bad roads currently.

The few nice roads we see around are by Musisi. Shame Lukwago fought her out.

@@kaboyodaniel3630 so if she was ED for 10 years, moreover earning one of the top 3 highest salaries in govt why did she build only a few roads?? Self defeating logic!! And he didn't "fight her out" she resigned because she was offered a better opportunity.

Fire, and/or jail the entire team of KCCA including the leadership responsible for the maintenance of the Kampala road network for their corrupt practices & embezzlement of the tax payers money. Secondly, investigate to find out where they got the money from to acquire the individual properties they have, bank accounts as well. Their life style should also be questioned. Jennifer Musisi was on the right track, but they chose to eliminate her because she exposed them & was considered to be in the way of enriching themselves.

I think there should be serious audit on the funds given to roads contractors. The work they are doing on roads is shoddy work

You should have invited the Lord Mayor to the panel as well.

The only way to end the pothole menace is to establish a functioning road maintenance unit in KCCA. Fill out the potholes as and when they appear. Too much English won't solve anything. In this our country, leaders speak too much English and do absolutely nothing.
I know that too is intentional by those involved as, when the problem escalates, it is a "eating" frenzy!
Before you widen and redo exiting roads, fill potholes. It is not rocket science!

But even if we creat a road maintenance agency without rooting out corruption that leads to shoddy work, you are stroking a dead horse. We MUST seriously deal with corruption and that so called process being talked about? Uganda has money but the corrupt are busy erecting building all over with no account for their sources of money?

Training? Basic common sense needs training as well? No, i don't think so. You just need to be tough on law breakers

Lukwago fought hard agaisnt Jennifer Musisi who had brought in so much change. It's a pity Lukwago is still around as useless as ever.

Well, we understand you're trying, but your trying as an authority isn't good enough am afraid madam Ed

  • @jimmykats7615

But that's an acceptable and you should offer an apology to the the resident of Kampala. How can one square a pot hole and then leave it hunging? People's cars and limbs are being damaged, cos of your staff. Madam Ed with due respect i think as an authority you're a joke and situation is laughable( one being paid for doing nothing or shoddy job). Well that's the trouble with our public servants, they're allegic to accepting mistakes, they will always blame something except their art of decission making or incomptence
