@@shantanukumarghosh1353 That is true. One of the biggest reasons of Yes Bank going down was Anil Ambani. ADAG group had exposure of 50k crore to the bank.
I think it was combination of both. Anil Ambani got the tough end of the business. Telecom, power, infra. If you look very few companies have survived the sector. Even India's most admired and strong business house of Tata and Birla could not succeed in Telecom. Tatas had to exit and for all practical senses Birla's too have exit with govt. now being the largest holder in Voda Idea. Among the incumbents only Bharti Airtel has survived.
In the power and infra sector nobody survived. GVK Lanco GMR Jaypee all are bankrupt. GVK Lanco Jaypee are out of business. GMR survived only because it had the airports business and that saw a revival. Tata group held on because they had TCS which generated massive cash flows to support their other businesses.
Now you imagine how challenging it must be for a businessman whose major interests are in the 3 most capital intensive and highly regulated businesses.
But it is also true that Anil Ambani could not complete any of his ambitious projects. Whether he swindled the money or whether he was inefficient is something only he and banks can tell.

Agree never saw the frenzy in IPO market that was seen in Reliance Power. Oversubscription was rare in those days and R Power was oversubscribed by 30 times. Means in todays term that would mean 300x oversubscription.
Ironically the second company that came close to recreate that frenzy was SKS Microfinance. Both IPOs severely burnt the fingers of retail investors.

@ lallan top it's good you have IPO fall down mentioned. Public must to understand that share market is not for everyone and its not shortcut for becoming rich as TH-camr claims. For the reference, I am giving you one instincts I.e Anil’s company Reliance Insurance has started providing insurances to all the farmers along with two other company where his company, s covering market share of 70 percent of all the farmers insurances of our country .
