You just need to look at Lake Buchanan Texas and look all around the lake… Burnet county is very picturesque… This is a Texas Hill Country. Right now we're in the middle of a drought in the lake is pretty low and I don't think the creek is running very much water
Just wanted to correct the OP. Lake Buchanan is fed by the COLORADO RIVER and is the FIRST lake on the Colorado river’s highland lakes chain meaning that it only has ONE dam despite being river-fed. The fall creek technically dumps into the Colorado river right before the mouth of the river which feeds Lake Buchanan. Most river reservoirs have a dam on each side of the lake; the side that is fed by the river and the side that water exits further down the river. Because it’s the first lake on the chain it has no dam regulating the influx of water from the Colorado river. Lake Buchanan is a man filled lake that ONLY exists to provide a reservoir of backup water used to keep both constant level lakes down the chain well…. Constant level as well as provide extra water for Texan rice farmers during times of extended drought.
