ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response it is described as a pleasurable tingling sensation that can be felt most commonly in the back of the scalp and down the spine but not limited to these area's.
I try to describe ASMR experience to people using something common like visiting a hairdresser, do you find the experience of someone focusing on you, the gentle touching of your hair, the sound of the scissors moving around you relaxing?
That would be a relaxing experience, watching ASMR video is like recreating that type of experience.
I believe most people can experience ASMR, to experience ASMR you need to find your trigger, common triggers:
Whispering
Watching Someone Focus on a task
Personal Attention - like a hair cut
Watching Role Play
Tapping Sounds
Crinkle Sounds

You can play with kinetic sand, even if it isn't your job. The reason can be just to have fun or relax.
Sometimes, I do prefer it when Dimitri talks. He has a soothing voice.
This video gives me more tingles than any other video. I've noticed that some videos I will get tingles, and they may be strong 2 or 3 times in a 20-30 minuted video, but the rest of the time I'm just relaxed. This video is great because it keeps me on a weird "threshold" if you will. The consistent change of objects and the way they are manipulated in the sand is unpredictable, but also constant, because while the sound changes, it doesn't go away. It's like I've got light-medium perma-tingles for the whole video. It's super relaxing and is probably my favourite because of that TBH.
I think the only thing better then this is getting a hug from someone you don't expect to give hugs.
I am kinda freaked out by how unexpectedly therapeutic watching this is. I can't look away. I am at peace.

***** - I cannot say that I _don't_ like your object videos; you have arguably the best sound quality on TH-cam. However, I do feel that you have _the best_ voice, and not using it is a shame. Anyone can replicate these object sounds, but nobody could deliver a soft spoken video in quite the same way. In either case, I always will watch your videos.

God, i love these sounds so much. Especially of you putting away objects in the beginning. Reminds me of my dad working in his study room, and i would often stand outside his door looking at him writing and putting pencils and other stuff away or to use.

I like the parts where you are sculpting it into a specific shape. When it comes to visual movement triggers I have always preferred watching precise purposeful movements compared to purely random behavior.

This is fun to watch (I loved playing in the sandbox when I was a kid) but I'm not getting any tingles from this video. I get ASMR tingles in real life but with youtube videos I'm still trying to figure out what works for me. But it's a very relaxing video to watch. It makes me wonder what it would feel like sitting in a small sandbox of Kinetic Sand. I would probably keep sinking like quicksand in it, LOL. Keep up the great work Dimitri!
