Never gets old. We were spoon fed all the best comedy when I was a nipper. There is no modern equal nore will there ever be again. 55 years later I'm still laughing 😂☘️😂🤣
A favorite song of mine and one of my favorite comedy duos, but "Dirty Old Town" is a song written by Ewan MacColl in 1949, a favorite singer/songwriter of mine.
I couldn't help humming "In the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia..." which I think was Laurel and Hardy when I saw this. Didn't even realise I knew the words.
Being very familiar with both The Boys and The Pogues, at first blush, I could not imagine how this combo of their dance and this song would work. It works just great! Thanks-

Never equalled.
Its not an old English Folk song -it was written by Ewan MacColl in 1949. Thats relatively new for English folk songs.
It's old as far I'm concerned and I was born in 1949.
😂 A question of definition
Ask any 20 year old if they think 1949 was a long time ago 😂😂😂
The dirty old town is SALFORD
