That awkward moment when farming key bosses when someone asks, “who’s got a key?” and everyone sits there in uncomfortable silence at the entrance 💀 But seriously, what is your go to method for getting gold skeleton keys? I’m lazy and just do daily assignments on all 7 wizards.
I actually would strongly discourage ever doing key bosses without a full group because the more people you have with you the more chances someone gets a key back. Sometimes if you just hangout around a key boss's dungeon sigil you'll find people going with open spots or in some really cursed scenarios they'd waste a key to solo a boss like omen or hellspawn not realizing what they're even getting into. You just need to be mindful of everyone's level because of the stupid level gating prize pools. Personally my favorite way to get golden keys is doing spiral scene and spiral showcase in tandem with daily assignments. I think the keys from the loyalty store is actually kind of a waste because often times the loyalty store has rare and valuable items you can't get any other way like the astral elegant gear or perm versions of pack mounts.
Just get the monthly keys as there is nothing else in the rewards shop worth buying. I don't farm spellements every month or on every character. And those I do farm on get spread to their appropriate school. Hasn't caused me problems yet =)

I did the daily assignment for such a long time to the point where I have too many keys😂. Also, the badge keys are pretty good as I had a lot on my max wizard already, so it was like a bonus when I logged in after the update.
I think at this point I have 40-50 gold keys all from doing daily assignments along with badge rewards; getting 12 keys a month if you're consistent with all your characters from assignments is definitely the best way to do it
Happy to see someone share a strategy I found out myself, I never spend money on this game besides membership so I had to find ways to get all the stuff other people also had. One thing I always do (since I just finished maxing out my Grizzleheim lore spells) is help a life wizard unlock Rat Spin if they don't have it yet, so long as I have enough gold keys. If anyone wants Grendel's Amends, Hammer of Thor, and especially Rat Spin, please DO NOT spend money on the packs for it, it's incredibly easy to get and you can even do it solo like I did. So long as your wizard is below level 30 King Borr has no cheats, so you can just have one wizard as your King Borr farmer. It also can go by faster if you get a friend to just kill him for you immediately, but they won't get any rewards of course. Or have a friend also use a lower level wizard to remove the minion's shields with wand hits and feint borr so you can kill him fast while they also get the rewards. Takes about 8 gold keys to ensure you unlock the spell. (I don't recommend maxing them unless you don't mind doing side quests and events like I do since it takes over 100 gold keys to max them out) Doing either method takes 15 minutes or less for you to unlock the spell, or even all of them. Of course, other gold key bosses unfortunately have no tier without cheats, so if you want Ship of Fools you're stuck doing Portal of Peril or Drowned Dan. Another great guide Zaepha, helping wizards save money one video at a time. Edit: There is currently either a bug or change that nerfs all wizards, even if proper tier level, in skeleton key bosses, and even though you get nerfed to the proper level you still get no rewards anyway. This is hopefully a case of KingsIsle's buggy code again since this is ridiculous if not. Edit 2: It was indeed a bug and has been fixed as of 8/2/24
Hi returning wizard to the spiral! Been gone for almost 8 years but am falling in love with the game all over again! I’m entirely uninterested in pvp and wanting to farm some of these gold keys. Two questions - can the keys be transferred from other characters on the account and would you be willing to run a few of the gold key farms so I can get the hang of it? I can check some existing characters to see if I have any left over keys that we can use to get started!
@@attica7 Heya! For your first question yes, keys can be transferred via the shared bank in your castle or dorm. Works for other event stuff like fortune coins too. Second I can show King Borr for sure. As for the others I don't farm any of them since it's only good for PvP, however pigsie is real easy if you do it low level and get a high level friend to hit. So I can show that as well. All my wizards are on Seraph realm, so if you want to set a time to do it I'd be happy to help when available!

is it a Viable option to create new accounts and do wizard city and then get the gold key from the badge and move it into shared bank? Then delete the account and make another one (and do this repeatedly)
Since you have to do all the main quests and side quests in wizard city to get the badge probably not? Like I’d argue that time is probably best spent doing any of the other activities to get keys, but technically I don’t think there’s anything stopping you. You’d want to weigh how much time it takes to do every quest vs how many keys you could get in the same amount of time doing something else.
I’d just like to say I saw rats spin on the thumbnail and I felt sooo good bc I bought my way to it along with the other griz lore spells realizing I just wanted to skip grinding 🤧
