@@skyblues2690that's correct. A soundtrack was released with the endorsement and licence of the record company and mostly sure Borderline was issued as many other CDs I have by unknown sources out of polygram, mercury records.
True. Should be included in bj official album. Very underrated. Borderline should be the 10th song on their debut album. Edge should have been in New Jersey since there's no left out in slippery.
It was on the b side of the 12” to either living on a prayer or you give love a bad name in uk. Great track!! Edge of a Broken heart is on Spotify but they need to add this too
I can understand how this didn't fit on the record but it is really good. This track would have easily replaced King of the Mountain on the 7800 F record.
Edge of a Broken Heart and Borderline replacing Without Love and Social Disease would have made this an infallible 11/10 masterpiece - especially with Borderline as the album closer :)
@@sardu271 I've customized this album on my phone swapping "Social Disease" w/ "Edge of a Broken Heart" and then "Wild in the Streets" w/ "Borderline". Nonstop bangers!
I'd like to add that this track, AND Edge of a Broken Heart AND Love is War are all tracks that could've/should've made the albums SWW/NJ...this track was maybe suited to the pre SWW era, whereas EOABH was definately NJ era...LIW was the B-side for the Living In Sin 7", I have a copy. I have the Living on a Prayer 12" which features EOABH as the B-Side....great songs, that NEVER feautured in the 'live' shows...
They still mostly are in fact they have focused more on guitars in recent years than they did back in the old albums. We do get songs where the guitar is less obvious but back in the early three albums I often heard plenty of keyboard and drums and bass.
This song fits the theme of their second album. Serious and sad songs instead of happy songs (with the exception of 'in and out of love'). This song is also sad/serious while the theme of their third album is more poppy and happy rock instead of the darker second album. I think that this is the reason this song is an outtake. This song just doesn't fit the theme of Slippery When Wet.
@@Debbles-F It's pretty good for the standards. It ain't Runaway, You Give Love A Bad Name, Livin' On A Prayer or anything pre 2007 (Lost Highway wasn't close to Rock and Roll at all, hence I conclude that that album was their fall from greatness.) But the Greatest Hits Ultimate Collection, What About Now, and Burning Bridges were strong come backs (especially Burning Bridges). Don't know about their latest album. You people don’t understand his vocals are different cause he is 57 and it’s modern stuff now so they don’t use the old 80s stuff, and you just have to find there good music off of the new stuff...

Miss the old ROCK sound.. Getting pretty tired of their new paint by the numbers pop songs. "Because we can"? PLZ I get it that Jon may not be able to hit these notes at his age.. But that doesn't mean the music has to suffer.. Where's the Hey God's, Wild in the Streets hell even One wild night.. Come on Jovi lets get it back in order.. now if ur a fan of all the new stuff, and that's cool, just this comment might not be for u.. I respect ur opinion plz do mine.
elway0798 I love all of their songs, but I agree with you, because his voice still rocks. They could make songs like this, but somewhere they said, that they are not 'nostalgic' band, so that is the reason, why they don't make music like that anymore.
I read the comment before I read the date but even then they have done some music like how they used to but I still like some of their newer sounds. Now I will always say the first 3 or 4 albums were the over all best but the new ones aren't bad.

This music was true hearted, when this band was true true hearted and not a sellout. The fire was there and is still gone

They cut too many good songs from this record.
Well they played all the songs they had for kids and the kids picked each song to go on the record so I guess this wasn't good enough for them

King Of The Mountain, and Tokyo Road aren't exactly sad and serious either. Although it DOES remind me of These Days.
