In this video, we'll visit the revitalized Dongguan Historical District (Chinese: 东关街; 東關街; 东关街历史文化街区; 东关老街), also known as Dongguan Street or Dongguan Old Street, a famous restored section of old Dalian in the Liaoning province of China.
This neighborhood of Dalian was once the center of a bustling Chinese quarter during the Russian & Japanese colonial rule of the late 19th to early 20th centuries. Today, it's a popular landmark which is beautifully decked out for the holiday season.
There's also a major reconstruction project currently ongoing (as of 2024 & 2025) which is transforming the Dongguan Street area into a high-end commercial & business district.
