@@originaldelta Spending money on a bunch of meaningless bullshit has nothing to do with them being bad at the game. Horrible checkpoints and 30 minute backtracking is related to them being bad at the game, but it's also related to this thing called "bad game design"
I remember doing this mission with friends. We all hated the beginning and it seems like getting the avenger is always bugged cause my friends and I experienced the same glitch where it just wouldn't accept that we were all in the Avenger.
It's not unneeded, it's part of Rockstar's awful game design. Their base games are always good, but they do not know how to make a working online economy.
@@adamrhodes9533 Unneeded as in over a mil on a motorcycle club, when Stephen could have just became VIP which doesn't cost well over a million, and then buying heist prep missions which are totally doable in public lobbies. I will give you that Rockstar had some real bad design choices in GTAO, but they didn't force him to pay nearly as much as he has.
@@ArdissVT They still shouldn't force him to pay to do the missions with friends. You KNOW public servers are a bad idea with heists. They even said that they'll get shot at by other players, most likely. Simply put, Rockstar needs to learn to design games better.

I think the mistake is not letting them do the setup missions in private as well. Stephen did comment on another video that they're only avoiding them because they'd have to put up with the public servers. :/ Paying to skip missions completely makes some sense, but being able to play with specific people only should be easy to do in any online game regardless of what you're doing.
I don't know why, but like, I could feel the absolute shock and horror on their faces as the two stood up and walked toward the screen at 8:42 and it seems really interesting. Something. I'm rambling since I'm only running on like, four to five hours of sleep xD
@@originaldelta You know you don't have to reply on every single comment down here exclaiming how random ass mcgee was able to do it on public while people with decently large youtube followings that have expressed before in earlier videos how randos would interrupt a lot of stuff they would do(which is likely partially why they tend to do these on private servers to begin with) will likely have more issue with things. Aside from that it was also mentioned that servers were super buggy at the time this was happening to begin with so there was a high chance that going through a public server would have caused a lot of issues.

Did Rockstar really design the game so that the leader's costs are way more than the actual reward or are Stephen and friends not doing something they could be doing other than not buying the stuff? I don't play the game so this is a legitimate question for me
They're buying out the prep missions to avoid playing on the public servers where they'd be surrounded by nutjobs, trolls and hackers. The prep missions apparently only let you run them in a public space. :/
