I got the same tractor with same issue thanks will look at it Tommorow. ALSO I notice my treadle pedal is stiff/hard when using it in forward and stiffer in reverse can't seem to find grease fitting for it, but I only have 2 hours will it eventually get smoother?

What are your speeds in low, medium, and high? Looking at this tractor for mowing, gardening, and clean up and one farm is 3 miles down the road so i dont want a small tractor that i wont use both places.

BurntEyes I think top speed is rated around 13 mph. 3 miles would take some patience but doable.

What rpm do you run when using the PTO or backhoe etc? I try to out the throttle up to 5k but the lever won't physically stay there and returns back towards turtle and under 4k rpm. Is there an adjustment to lower the resistance to the lever ? Or is 5k too high? PS the rpm is for faster speed on the backhoe and also higher PTO rpm for the wood chipper not power.

2800 seems to be the sweet spot on my B2601. I can’t get mine any higher than 2900/3000.
I’ve heard of the throttle lever slipping back but I haven’t had that issue. If you’re running a Kubota B or similar diesel 5k would definitely be too high.

@@HomeSource Sorry, wrote that a bit late at night. Just checked. I meant to say 3K. Past 2400 its very hard to push the lever up. If I put it up to 3k it slowly springs back to 24-2500 ish.

Did this mod give you easier treadle play in reverse? This is a big problem for many of us. The pedal angle works well for forward but reverse requires you to stomp straight down and the pedal is very stiff and awkward feeling.
